Kansas City Chiefs first NFL Draft pick Johnathan Baldwin WR
Jonathan Baldwin's stock dropped since January. The Chiefs may have been able to get Baldwin in the second round but they opted for locking him up with their first pick in the 26th spot. Baldwin is a solid receiver with good hands and the new requirement of height that has become important for NFL receivers.
Kansas City Chiefs second NFL Draft pick Rodney Hudson OL
Rodney Hudson started all four years for the Florida State Seminoles and with four years of college ball under his belt Hudson will bring maturity to the table as a possible starter on the Chiefs offensive line. Hudson is a smart lineman and text book blocker. He owns two Jacobs Blocking Trophy's from his last two seasons with FSU.
Kansas City Chiefs third NFL Draft pick Justin Houston LB
A positive drug test is the only reason Justin Houston fell to the Chiefs in the third round. Houston has been the hot linebacker heading into the NFL Draft season in January. He dropped substantially after his false drug test was revealed.
Houston will give the Chiefs their money's worth as he rewards them for giving him a home in KC. Houston is a hard hitter and an occasional gambler on defense. He can be burned by his instincts but overall he is a quick thinker that reacts correctly.
Kansas City Chiefs fourth NFL Draft pick Allen Bailey DL
Allen Bailey gives the Chiefs a solid pass rush threat but he is not the home run hitter they really needed in this spot. They would have been well advised to gamble on DaQuan Bowers in this spot. Bailey could turn out to be a good choice but a better defensive linemen could have been found in the first round.
Kansas City Chiefs fifth NFL Draft pick Jalil Brown DB
More speed for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs will hope that Brown and Eric Berry are a good fit as the last line of defense for Romeo Crennel's improved defense. Brown is an old school corner that loves make contact at the line of scrimmage. He will need every ounce of speed he has against the better route runners in the NFL.
Kansas City Chiefs sixth NFL Draft pick Ricky Stanzi QB
The pick of Ricky Stanzi can go either way for the Chiefs. Stanzi could be the future of the Kansas City passing game or a failed pick in the later rounds. It all depends on Stanzi and if he is willing to throw out his physical tool box and he is able to learn how to be an NFL quarterback. I believe Stanzi will be a good pick and he will be starting within two years.
Kansas City Chiefs seventh NFL Draft pick Gabe Miller LB
Gabe Miller is a good pick up as a role player for the Chiefs. Miller told the Kansas City Chiefs website, "I kind of see myself as a little bit of a hybrid - either an outside linebacker or a defensive end. "
Kansas City Chiefs eighth NFL Draft pick Jerrelle Powe DL
Jerrelle Powe is another defensive lineman that never gives up. He is adept at improvising and maneuvering his way into the backfield. Powe never quits and his long wing span leads to block passes and distracted quarterbacks.
Kansas City Chiefs ninth NFL Draft pick Shane Bannon FB
With the running talent on the Kansas City Chiefs Bannon may be a perfect compliment to the speed of Jamaal Charles. Bannon is a quintessential fullback that loves to bang into the line and make holes. he may add life to Charles, who showed a potential for breaking down.
