The anticipation kills.
Palms sweaty,
Heart pounding,
Sensations of body chills.
First round selection?
I know better than that.
Second day dreams...
Much closer to fact.
But still I sweat and still I pace.
When Day One is over,
That's when I get into the race.
Prayers, kind gestures, small tokens made.
Humility and hard work pays off. Dreams finally realized.
My name is announced, history made, my heart smiles!
