Ronnie Brown (RB)
Though he shares carries with Ricky Williams, the Dolphins' wildcat formation helped Ronnie Brown enjoy an excellent season in 2008. Brown rushed for 916 yards and 10 touchdowns, and caught 33 passes for 254 yards, throwing for a touchdown in the process. While not an elite back that will carry your team this year, Brown is a solid second back who will go over the 100 yard mark a few times during the season for you. If he is available in the 4th or 5th round, go ahead and take Brown.
Ted Ginn Jr (WR)
Ginn is an exciting kick returner, who began to justify his 1st round selection as a receiver last season posting some decent numbers. During the 8th week of the season Ginn caught 7 passes for 175 yards in a win against Buffalo, and then added 242 total yards in a loss to New England in week 12. Ginn has a higher value in leagues that count kick return yards having amassed 1,502 total yards last year and over 2,000 yards the year before. As a receiver, he will make a good third receiver for your team, though he will not score much.
Chad Pennington (QB)
It is hard to get excited over the often injured Pennington, though by quarterback standards, Chad enjoyed his best season since 2002. A passer who will not make mistakes on the field, Pennington owns a 90.6 lifetime QB rating. Last season he threw for 3,653 yards and 19 TDs while only getting picked off 7 times. Look for a slight up turn in those numbers as Pennington's receivers start to mature this season.
Ricky Williams (RB)
Once an elite Fantasy Football running back, Williams' troubled career has left him a complimentary back to Brown. Having said that, Williams still managed to gain 848 yards from scrimmage last year, and should make for a decent 3rd back on a Fantasy Team this year. If you are going to gamble on Ricky, do it late in the draft.
Anthony Fasano (TE)
Miami's smallish receivers turned Fasano into Pennington's favorite red zone target down the stretch and the former Notre Dame TE rewarded Fantasy Football owners with 7 TDs last season. While he is not a sexy choice at the position, Fasano is worth a late round gamble. He will not net you a lot of catches and yards, but he will reward you with a lot of TDs for the position.
Sleeper:
Pat White (QB)
White, who can run as well as pass may be an excellent fit to run Miami's Wildcat formation. If he can qualify in another position besides QB, White's versatility might make him a good Fantasy Football pickup. Though he makes for a tempting late round pick, one should keep an eye on how the Dolphins tend to use them this year.
