NFL Game Picks Week 8

Ah yes, another headache in the NFL. Don't worry about me though I've got a big bottle of Excedrine Migraine to counteract all these NFL game picks. After another 7-7 week there is one thing I know for sure. It's that nothing is for sure. Anybody thinking Minnesota and Chicago would score 89 points combined? How about Houston running out to a 21-0 lead only win by 7 against Detroit? Tom Brady's career possibly over because he used his own doctors instead of the team staff?

Then of course all you Bills fans out there talking about how Trent Edwards brought you a win, when in fact it was the turnovers by the defense. Especially the pick from Philip Rivers on the Buffalo 1 with 6:16 left to go in the game. Forget the defense, lets talk about the guy that ranks 19th in passing, 20th in touchdowns, and 24th in pass attempts in the league? Come on. Then again I could just be a little salty because I can't pick them ATS to save my life except for when they played Arizona.

Getting back to the Best NFL Picks Free and quite frankly they aren't panning out nearly as good as years past. The good news is there are still 10 more weeks left to turn it all around. Not that we're doing bad, but that 80% that is usually easy is eluding us like Road Runner to Wiley Coyote (Bee-neep). So I decided (with the help of my dad) that this week we're simply going to flip a coin and that's the team we're taking this week. Eh, I thought about making this week's NFL game picks that way, but if I went 12-2 then I think I'd be a little pissed.

So it's work as usual, except this will probably be the shortest NFL game picks article you'll ever get from me. The writing business is keeping me busy and spending half a day on this would just ruin the rhythm. However, it is a good escape for an hour anyways. Then of course another writer online found out her 4 year old daughter is extremely ill and I've been working at helping her collect donations for the surgery. I know it doesn't have anything to do with football or this week's picks, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways. Oakland at Baltimore (Bal-7)(36)

Really don't know what to say after these two both had wins last week. Although I've always thought defense wins championships and Baltimore's is much, MUCH better.

My biggest problem with San Diego is...I KEEP FREAKING PICKING THEM! The only time I didn't they destroyed New England. Boo Chargers is all I have to say. So here we have San Diego who can't win on the road (except across town in Oakland) or score points as of late (24 in last 2) and New Orleans who just lost Reggie Bush. Hmmm. I'll go with a two run homer by Adrien Gonzalez.

Ha-ha, this is like the have nots and the should nots. The Chiefs "should not" be playing and the Jets? Well, the Jets have not beat anyone. Look for that trend to continue.

So, where in the hell was the Wildcat offense last week? Since we saw the real Ravens D and Buffalo's is pretty good we'll take the Bills.

Well, I'm a little confused at this line considering the way the Cowboys have played of late. The Bucs defense is stout and with Romo out until mid-November I don't see why we would take Tampa.

Okay, so both teams are coming off byes. Who does it help more? The Eagles by far considering they look like an offensive juggernaut when Westbrook is healthy.

Alright, here's your tidbit of information for week 8. Home teams coming off a bye in 2008 are 7-0, and road teams are 4-5. Does it help with this game? No not really, except the road teams coming off a bye are averaging 17ppg while giving up 28.

Anyone see that hit Hines Ward laid on Cincinnati ILB Keith Rivers last week. That was sick. How they going to stop Schaub, Johnson, and Slaton? 0-8 great job Bengals, once again. Nothing like having one winning season in the NFL since 1990 and the League not stepping in wondering what the hell Mike Brown is doing in Cincy. Did we mention that between 1990-1999 the Bengals had 108 losses. During that same span college football's Miami Hurricanes had 108 wins. Just a little useless information for you.

Who would of thought this was a must win for the Colts? Not only in the Division for cryin' out loud their entire season. They have to win right? I'm not buying it. Between them and San Diego they've cost me like 8 or 9 picks. Can't wait until those two play each other. I'll be picking a tie.
