NFL Las Vegas Over/Under Win Totals & Predictions Released
Las Vegas Hilton 1st to Release Over/Under Props for NFL Season
The Las Vegas Hilton Superbook has released the Over/Under Win Totals for the upcoming 2010-2011 NFL season. The usual suspects are favored to win more than ten NFL games this year including, Indianapolis, San Diego and New Orleans.
Heading into the new NFL season there are many factors to consider when looking to place an Over/Under win total bet. First and foremost to consider, is the division a specific team plays in. San Diego will be playing in the AFC West division, which was considered to be the worst division in the NFL last season. Another consideration, is roster changes and compatibility of the players. The New York Jets have added and subtracted key players to their team and it could affect them.
Always overlooked before the NFL season is defense. Who will have the best defense and who's defense has aged. In that same vein of thinking, who added key young draft picks to inject youth into an aging defense or offense. There are still some key free agents unsigned at the moment, so keep a close eye on where some of those players sign.
Five over/under predictions for the 2010-2011 NFL season.
Houston Texans Over/Under total of 8 wins in the 2010-2011 NFL season.
The Houston Texans are solid on both sides of the ball and could replace the Indianapolis Colts as the most prolific passing team in the NFL for the 2010-2011 season. An Over/Under total of eight wins, is a gift of epic proportions and the public will hit this number hard early. If this number has not gone to nine or nine and a half yet, place a bet ASAP. Houston will win a minimum of 10 and may hit my early prediction in April which was 13 wins.
Dallas Cowboys Over/Under total of 9.5 wins in the 2010-2011 NFL season.
The Dallas Cowboys had a decent draft and although their division could be tough. Look for Dallas and Tony Romo to be on a mission to change their fortune in the NFL post season. First, Dallas has to make the post season and they will be on their game early. Dallas will have more than 9 and a half wins also because they will be in a heated battle with the young Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas will go over the total of nine and a half wins and win at least 11 games and may hit my April 20th prediction of 12 wins.
Miami Dolphins Over/Under total of 8.5 wins in the 2010-2011 NFL season.
Miami is showing all the signs of a major drop off heading into training camp this year. Miami had a great season two years ago with the introduction of the wildcat offense and now they have become obsolete. Ricky Williams is another year older and Ronnie Brown will have to show he can return to form. Miami will struggle to win six games this year and will live up to my April prediction going under 8.5 total wins.
San Francisco 49ers Over/Under total of 8.5 wins in the 2010-2011 NFL season.
Mike Singletary has most of the pieces to his puzzle to win the NFC West this season but the huge question mark is quarterback. Look for San Francisco to feature a punishing running game along with a stifling defense. Not unlike the 1985 Chicago Bears, where Mike Singletary roamed the middle of the field on defense. San Francisco can win the NFC West handily and meet my April prediction of 11 wins.
Oakland Raiders Over/Under total of 6 wins in the 2010-2011 NFL season.
The Oakland Raiders have been the whipping boys of the AFC West for a few years now and this could be a step forward for the lowly Raiders. With the addition of Jason Campbell and some key athletes on defense, Oakland can squeeze enough wins in their division and three out of their division to make progress this year. Oakland will win seven games and go over the total of 6 wins, as predicted when the AFC West schedules were released.
