NFL Mock Draft Site Review and More- NFL Fans Unite

Yep, it's almost August and everyone knows that the NFL season is right around the corner. There have already been great pick-ups for teams like the Washington Redskins (Jason Taylor) and cry baby, feel sorry for me antics (Chad Johnson) as well. There's been muggings (Javon Walker), retirements that don't really mean "retire," (Brett Favre) and a whole slew of various other contributions and misfortunes during the off-season.

So it's about time to get that adrenaline rush once again as the gridiron magic starts to happen. In the meantime though, we've come across a new place to hang your favorite NFL team hat and thought it was worth a look see. It's called NFL Fans Unite and it's built around the NFL Mock Draft. Now, before you sit there and say, "Damn, I like football but who wants to checkout the NFL Mock Draft when it's still almost a year away?", listen up.

Although NFL Fans Unite is geared towards NFL draft picks, it has just about everything you want in a sports website. We're talking all the most up-to-date NFL news, NFL scores, videos, highlights, and I hear even a fantasy football league. This of course was after speaking with the website administrator through a string of emails and a couple phone conversations. The point is you don't have to like the NFL Mock Draft, but you can still enjoy what they offer.

Last year you may recall an NFL Mock Draft article that I wrote called, "Woody's What If NFL Mock Draft." Granted I had never done anything like this before and to be quite frank, thought the "mock seen" was a pretty boring. Seriously, who sits in front of a television for two days straight waiting for names to be called? It's like me standing in line at the local lottery venue waiting for numbers to be called to win that $50 million even though I didn't buy any tickets.

Well, this is what the thought used to be until I came across the NFL Fans Unite website. Even though you can tell it's still in its infant stages on the Internet it still has a lot of promise. Think of it like those factory cars from the Fast and Furious 2 movie. They might look simple in the beginning, but with a little work they get spruced up into a great looking fast machines. Same goes for this website, and here's why.

The NFL Mock Draft world has become a complete phenomenon over the last two years. However, you don't find too many places that have great NFL news and NFL Mock Draft information. In fact, I've only found about a handful of sites after visiting about 50 that can say they have both. According to the NFL Fans Unite website owner they will be building a multitude of various options regarding NFL draft picks, free weekly NFL picks for upcoming games, daily news, and a bunch of other stuff I have to say I forget (sorry NFU).

In the end it' really isn't just an NFL Mock Draft alone. It has a little bit of everything, now all it needs is a personal touch. We'll have to wait and see what type of content they continue to bring to the table to find out if this is going to be an NFL website that sticks around for many years to come. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the fantasy football season. Hurry up and set that bad boy up!
