1. Houston Texans over the Seattle Seahawks. Houston has not looked good in several weeks and now Kubiak's job is on the line. Seattle showed some spark against the 49ers and have the momentum as the head to Houston. Look for the Texans to barely pull one out against the struggling Seahawks 21-15.
2. Tennessee Titans over the St. Louis Rams. Tennessee almost pulled out another win against the high flying Colts and now look to take on the struggling Rams at home. Look for Vince Young to continue to improve and show some resiliency against the Rams. Tennessee wins 28-18.
3. Baltimore Ravens over the Detroit Lions. Until the Lions can prove they can win at home there is no way I would pick them to win on the road against one of the stingiest defenses in the league. Baltimore will win over the Detroit Lions in Baltimore 20-13.
4. Philadelphia Eagles over the New York Giants. Neither of these teams has looked stellar over the past several weeks and the Giants continue to face must win games. Both teams won in week 13 but Philly seems to have a little more momentum. Philadelphia should prove to be the better team this week and stake out a spot firmly in the playoffs. Look for the Philadelphia Eagles to win a close one over the struggling New York Giants 30-22.
5. New England Patriots over the Carolina Panthers. I will admit that this pick is a little less than can't miss as both teams are having less than great seasons. Carolina is more talented than their record and we keep waiting for the Patriots to show their dominance. I believe this will be the week and I look for Bill Belichick to have his team ready to play against the Panthers. Look for New England to win a competitive game against the Panthers 24-22.
The playoffs are coming and coming fast. Look for the cream to continue the rise to the top and the wannabes to fall to their rightful place. Sunday is coming and Thursday's around the corner.

T.K. - Did you know?: On December 8, 1940 (69 years ago today!), the Chicago Bears defeated the Washington Redskins for the NFL Championship and handed the Redskins the most lopsided defeat - 73-0 - in the league's history.
Fight on!!
