NFL Playoff Rankings: Dallas Cowboys Defeat the Philadelphia Eagles

It was a horrible night for the Philadelphia Eagles as they lost to the Dallas Cowboys 14-34. The playoff scenario has revved up a notch, not so much of Tony Romo great game play, but because of the defense and their stout play. Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo threw for 244 yards, 23/35 passes, and 2 touchdowns. The preverbal monkey has now been removed from the back of Tony Romo and Coach Wade Phillips, but this means nothing if they do not win a Super Bowl appearance. It may completely irrelevant to think that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants to win another Super Bowl, but the will of this team may depend on how well Tony Romo plays in the next round of the playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles saga and drama continues, will they learn anything from this divisional playoff loss, or will the Dallas Cowboys usher in a new dominance over the Philadelphia Eagles. The scoreboard said it best; a 14-34 win says it all. Jerry Jones said that "The demons are gone!" and he knows very well in this competitive NFL season his team will need to play at their best to enter into the final round of the playoffs.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been saying all season that in order for the Cowboys to have a chance to get a Super Bowl appearance in 2010 - it will depend upon one essential thing. "Just keep trying to get better and eventually things will go your way," said Romo, who presented game balls to Jones and Phillips in the locker room. "Going out there and playing this way we have lately is very exciting. If we just keep going forward, we got a chance."

Has the new Dallas stadium proved to be the saving grace of the Dallas Cowboys, or is it a redemption that is owed to the greats of the Dallas Cowboys legacy. Only time will tell if they are true champions or flukes of their own trade.
