NFL Power Rankings: Buckin' Colt or the Iron-Horse Titan - Who Will Win the MVP, Peyton Manning or Chris Johnson?

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning needs less than 400 yards to have another 4,000 yard season, if he manages to accomplish this feat - it will be the tenth time in his career that he manages to perform this extraordinary achievement. No other quarterback in NFL history has had more 4,000 yard seasons than Peyton Manning, and this may be one of the reasons why he wins the MVP in 2009. Barring any injury, Peyton Manning will be the first NFL quarterback to eclipse the 50,000 yard mark faster than any other player, and this may be another reason that he is the most valuable player to his team, this season is a prime example why he is the MVP of his team. Now enter the Tennessee Titans Iron-Horse running back Chris Johnson - precluding on the grand stand on breaking the all-time rushing record of 2,105 yards held by the great 1983 Rookie of the Year Eric Dickerson.

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has 1,509 yards from scrimmage with only 244 carries, a very impressive number indeed. When Eric Dickerson broke the all-time rushing record for most rushing yards in 1984, he had a total of 379 carries, in comparrison to what Chris Johnson has managed to achieve - most NFL fans will admit that this is an extraordinary feat.

The year that Brett Favre won the MVP - Barry Sanders won a vote for CO-MVP in 1997, Barry racked up an impressive 2,053 rushing yards, his complete yards from scrimmage were 2,358, a feat that may not be achieved for many years to come. But then again, Chris Johnson has 1,931 yards from scrimmage, and yes, he may be the one that shatters this record. Chris Johnson has 4 games left in the regular NFL season, and so does Peyton Manning. My sentiments is that Peyton Manning should win the MVP for this season, without a doubt, this Buckin' Colt is the key for the Indianapolis Colts chance at earning the right to appear in Super Bowl XLIV.
