NFL Power Rankings, Picks, and Schedule for Week 12

J.A. McLynne
The Philadelphia Eagles had a big win against the Giants on Sunday night and jumped ahead a game in the NFC East standings. The Eagles were able to claim the number 2 slot in the week 12 edition of JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings.

The New England Patriots continued to role with one of the best records in the NFL with an 8-2 record, tied with the Atlanta Falcons and the New York Jets. The Week 12 NFL Power Rankings top 10 teams did not see much of a change, with the Giants dropping, and the Saints climbing back into the top 10.

A team with one of the best records in the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons, will play host to the Green Bay Packers as these top teams from the NFC South and NFC East taking the field.

Here is a glimpse of the Week 12 NFL Schedule, along with each team's NFL Power Ranking Score and Record.

Winning Picks are shown in Bold

Thu, Nov 25 Time (ET)

New England Patriots (8-2) 89.05 at Detroit Lions (2-8) 49.48
Ford Field 12:30 PM

The New England Patriots just squeaked by the Colts on Sunday and will have a short week to prepare for the Detroit Lions. The Lions have shown some improvement over last year's team, but will face the best team in JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings for Week 12. Look for the Patriots to dominate, as long as the Brady is able to stay in his groove.

New Orleans Saints (7-3) 86.08 at Dallas Cowboys (3-7) 71.98
Cowboys Stadium 4:15 PM

The Cowboys are surging under a new coach and a backup quarterback. This week will be a real test as the New Orleans Saints come to town.

Cincinnati Bengals (2-8) 51.26 at New York Jets (8-2) 87.28
New Meadowlands Stadium 8:20 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals have been sinking all season in JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings. Next the Bengals face the Jets, who have had a couple of last minute wins over the past couple of weeks. Look for the Jets to dominate the Bengals at New Meadowlands Stadium.

Sun, Nov 28 Stadium Time (ET)

Jacksonville Jaguars (6-4) 63.82 at New York Giants (6-4) 85.63
New Meadowlands Stadium 1:00 PM

The Giants are without a couple of key receivers, and Eli Manning's quarterback rating has been sliding. Manning has been playing more like gunslinger quarterback over the past couple of weeks, racking up more interceptions than touchdown passes. The Jaguars may come out with a victory if the Giants miscues continue.

Minnesota Vikings (3-7) 57.88 at Washington Redskins (5-5) 62.26
FedEx Field 1:00 PM

The Vikings will have a new coach when the travel to FedEx Field to take on the Redskins. Will Brett Favre remain as quarterback? This is the key question to ask for the game between the Vikings and Redskins. The Redskins should come away with a victory at home whether or not Favre plays in the game.

Green Bay Packers (7-3) 87.14 at Atlanta Falcons (8-2) 83.72
Georgia Dome 1:00 PM

This is the "game of the week" in the week 12 edition of JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings. The best teams in the NFC face of with league leading South taking on the North. This game will be a chance for the Falcons to make a statement in the NFL Power Rankings.

Carolina Panthers (1-9) 28.7 at Cleveland Browns (3-7) 51.35
Cleveland Browns Stadium 1:00 PM

For the Carolina Panthers, it is a question of how low can you go? The Panthers have a stinky NFL Power Ranking. Perhaps the Panthers may get lucky against the Browns in week 12.

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3) 82.83 at Buffalo Bills (2-8) 58.04
Ralph Wilson Stadium 1:00 PM

The Bills had a big comeback win against the Bengals on Sunday. But it was just the Bengals, who are a sinking team. This week the Bills will face the Steelers at home. The Steelers have been looking to break out in the NFL Power Rankings, but close games and tough losses have kept the Steelers in the middle of the pack. This could be the break out week that the Steelers are looking for.

Tennessee Titans (5-5) 64.39 at Houston Texans (4-6) 64.79
Reliant Stadium 1:00 PM

The Tennessee Titans are a team in disarray with the loss of Vince Young. The Texans will barely have home field advantage in this game that is too close to call for JAMcLynne's NFL Power Ranking software.

Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) 78.39 at Seattle Seahawks (5-5) 51.14
Qwest Field 4:05 PM

The Chiefs started the season slow, and are starting to play better football. Look the the Chiefs to improve their record against the Seattle Seahawks.

Miami Dolphins (5-5) 51.16 at Oakland Raiders (5-5) 60.97
Oakland Coliseum 4:05 PM

The Raiders and Dolphins both have .500 records. The Power Rankings placed the Raiders with a slight advantage over the Dolphins.

Philadelphia Eagles (7-3) 88.97 at Chicago Bears (7-3) 67.2
Soldier Field 4:15 PM

The Eagles travel to Soldier Field to take a top team in the NFC North. If the Eagle pull out a win against Chicago (they probably will), then look for the Eagles to sit atop the NFL Power Rankings next week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3) 66.77 at Baltimore Ravens (7-3) 82.92
M&T Bank Stadium 4:15 PM

Two 7-3 teams face off, but the Ravens had the tougher schedule. The Ravens also have the better defense. Look for the Ravens to win at home.

St Louis Rams (4-6) 43.44 at Denver Broncos (3-7) 61.75
Invesco Field at Mile High 4:15 PM

The Rams have seen an up and down season that has mostly been down. The Denver Broncos have faired no better. Look for Kyle Orton's passing attack should be able to slash through the Rams defense at Mile High Stadium.

San Diego Chargers (5-5) 87.23 at Indianapolis Colts (6-4) 87.73
Lucas Oil Stadium 8:20 PM

Two top notch quarterbacks in Manning and Rivers meet in the grid iron. My gut feeling, along with the NFL Power Rankings tell me that Manning and the Colts will win. San Diego is slowly getting its season back on track, leading the NFL in many offensive and defensive categories with only a .500 record.

Mon, Nov 29 Stadium Time (ET)

San Francisco 49ers (3-7) 41.59 at Arizona Cardinals (3-7) 50.67
University of Phoenix Stadium 8:30 PM

A pretty boring Monday Night Football game to watch as these two 3-7 teams in the NFC West take the field in Arizona. Home field advantage goes to the Cardinals.
