In JAMcLynne's Week 11 NFL Power Rankings the Giants fell out of the top five with the loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Philadelphia Eagles made a strong case for filling in at the number one slot due to the drubbing they handed out to the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. I am not sure if the Eagles have that good of an offense with Michael Vick at the helm, or if the Washington Redskin's defense is just that bad. In either case, JAMcLynnes NFL Power Rankings are based on raw statistics, and even with the record setting performance by Michael Vick, it was still not quite enough to propel the Eagles into the number one slot. The numbers are so close that it is effectively a tie between the Patriots and the Eagles. Perhaps these two teams are the early favorite to make it to the Superbowl?
The New England Patriots reclaimed the top spot by having a strong performance against the highly ranked Pittsburgh Steelers. Another team that is making a strong move in the Week 11 NFL Power Rankings are the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons improved their record to 7-2 with a victory against a strong Baltimore Ravens club. Beside the Falcons and the Patriots, the only other 7-2 team in the National Football League are the New York Jets. The Jets had a last minute win in overtime against the Cleveland Browns. Not exactly a commanding performance by the Jets, so they only climbed into the number 4 slot.
Week 11 in the 2010 NFL season has some pretty good match ups. There will be a battle in the NFC East as the Eagles take on the Giants. Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. In the AFC, the NFL game of the week will be the Colts and Patriots. JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings give the Patriots the slight edge, but anything can happen when these two AFC rivals clash on the gridiron.
Here are the Week 11 NFL Predictions using JAMcLynne's NFL Power Ranking Score.
Winners are in Bold
Thu, Nov 18 Time (ET)
Chicago Bears(6-3) 65.75 at Miami Dolphins(5-4) 57.72
Sun Life Stadium 8:20 PM
The Dolphins won their first game at home in week 10 of the NFL season against the Titans. The Dolphins will be the uderdog once again as the Chicago Bears roll into town.
Sun, Nov 21 Time (ET)
Baltimore Ravens(6-3) 71.68 at Carolina Panthers(1-8) 32.17
Bank of America Stadium 1:00 P
This should be an easy road game for the Baltimore Ravens.
Houston Texans(4-5) 56.62 at New York Jets(7-2) 85.72
New Meadowlands Stadium 1:00 PM
The Jets play host to the 4-5 Houston Texans. The Jets have a decent record, but have played inconsistent football. The Jets should be able to win against the Texans on their home turf.
Buffalo Bills(1-8) 45.65 at Cincinnati Bengals(2-7) 55.21
Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM
The Buffalo Bills finally got their first victory of the season. The superstar(?) recieving duo of Owens and Ochocinco of the Bengals have been a little bit of a let down. This may be a chance for the Bills to gather up their second victory of the season.
Oakland Raiders(5-4) 64.35 at Pittsburgh Steelers(6-3) 75.53
Heinz Field 1:00 PM
The Raiders invade Hienz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oakland is coming off a bye week, and the Steelers suffered a tough loss at home Sunday night to the Patriots. The Steelers usually play tough against less ranked teams at home, so should be able to put another notch in the win column against the Oakland Raiders.
Cleveland Browns(3-6) 49.12 at Jacksonville Jaguars(5-4) 66.39
EverBank Field 1:00 PM
The Browns have has some victories against some good teams. They also played close in the games that they have lost with some exceptions. The Browns have a shot at pulling out a victory against the Jaguars.
Arizona Cardinals(3-6) 44.11 at Kansas City Chiefs(5-4) 68.03
Arrowhead Stadium 1:00 PM
The Arizona Cardinals have been sinking in each week in the NFL Power Rankings. The Cardinals have lost 4 games in a row. The Chiefs will be looking to rebound from the spanking they took from the Denver Broncos.
Washington Redskins(4-5) 54.22 at Tennessee Titans(5-4) 74.91
LP Field 1:00 PM
After getting a brand new contract and a spanking from Michael Vick and the Eagles, Donovan McNabb looks to rebound with the Redskins against the Titans. The Titans are picked to win at home.
Detroit Lions(2-7) 47.4 at Dallas Cowboys(2-7) 67.25
Cowboys Stadium 1:00 PM
The Cowboys upended the Giants and will settle for playing spoilers for the rest of the 2010 NFL season. There not much to spoil this week with the 2-7 Lions paying a visit to Texas Stadium.
Green Bay Packers(6-3) 79.7 at Minnesota Vikings(3-6) 63.6
Mall of America Field 1:00 PM
Brett Favre tries to salvage his season by at least beating his former team once this season. The Vikes lost the last time they met, perhaps things will be different this time around.
Seattle Seahawks(5-4) 51.5 at New Orleans Saints(6-3) 85.84
Superdome 4:05 PM
The Seahawks have had some flashes of brilliance this season, and the Saints lost a couple of games that they probably should have won. This could be another upset loss by the Saints at home.
Atlanta Falcons(7-2) 77.46 at St Louis Rams(4-5) 46.98
Edward Jones Dome 4:05 PM
The Falcons are surging in the NFL Power Rankings. The Atlanta Falcons should be able to come away with a win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers(6-3) 63.46 at San Francisco 49ers(2-6) 52.15
Candlestick Park 4:05 PM
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to be the lowest ranked 6-3 team in JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings. The 49ers will need some inspiration to win.
Indianapolis Colts(6-3) 85.23 at New England Patriots(7-2) 91.46
Gillette Stadium 4:15 PM
This is a classic AFC rival matchup. This game will be of supreme importance for both the Colts and Patriots. If it is a cold and snowy day in New England, then look for the Pats to win. If the weather is agreeable to Manning, then the Colts may have a chance.
New York Giants(6-3) 80.63 at Philadelphia Eagles(6-3) 91.08
Lincoln Financial Field 8:20 PM
The Giants could be in big trouble if they fail to contain Michael Vick in Week 11 of the NFL season. Michael Vick had a HUGE game against the Redskins on Monday Night Football. If Vick carries that level of performance into Week 11 against the Giants, then the Eagles could have another record setting game. The Giants defense better come to play or it will be over in the first half. JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings gives tha game to the Eagles, and my gut feeling tells me that Vick is going to have another big game. If that is the case, then the Eagles just may be sitting in the number slot in JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings for Week 12.
Mon, Nov 22 Time (ET)
Denver Broncos(3-6) 60.34 at San Diego Chargers(4-5) 82.06
Qualcomm Stadium 8:30 PM
Week 11 of the 2010 NFL season has an AFC West rivalry match up between the two bottom teams in the division. The games between the Broncos and Chargers are always interesting to watch. The passing game of Philip Rivers should be enough to overpower the Broncos defence.
Here are JAMcLynne's NFL Power Rankings for Week 11 of the NFL Season.
