NFL Power Rankings: Turnovers or Touchdowns - Will it Be December Mourn for Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo?

Alfonso Coley
Will this 2009 December season be the same as it was last year for the Dallas Cowboys offense and Tony Romo inconsistent play? At the present, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback stats are impressive, but it seems as though he is approaching one of those inconceivable slumps which led him to throw many bad passes in the month of December last year. Tony Romo has thrown for 3,325 yards and has only 7 interceptions, his passer rating is 96.3, and this may be one of the most deceiving and perplexing things about his inconsistency in the post season as one of the elite NFL quarterbacks. Although some of the fault can be blamed on Tony Romo, the offensive line is as much to blame for Dallas post season woes, and poor pass protection of their quarterback.

The Dallas media has been very critical on Coach Wade Phillips inconsistent coaching decisions which have led to the team's offensive woes. Even though the Dallas Cowboys are 8-4 in their division, the NFC East is still much up for grabs; this is why it is essential that Tony Romo must play his best football for the remaining month of December.

The pride of the Dallas Cowboys rest on the shoulders of Tony Romo, and there is one thing for sure, if he falters in the last four games - it may come back to haunt him next season. The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-4 also - and the team is hungry to defeat Dallas to clinch another NFC East title. So what will the swan song be for the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo playoff hopes, will it be December Mourn - a fall from grace once again?
