The NFL power rankings for week 10 have to keep the Saints and Colts at 1-2, despite nearly falling at home. The Saints had to come back against the Panthers for their third straight tough win, while the Colts barely held off Houston. The Saints are finding new ways to win, but more and more adversity seems to be on the way.
The Colts remain number 2 in most NFL power rankings for week 10, but they could change that this week. The Patriots-Colts rivalry is renewed on Sunday night, with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning facing off for the first time in two years. A win by the Colts would keep them on top for a while, while the Patriots could make a charge up the rankings.
While the Saints, Colts and Vikings remain the big 3 of the moment in the NFL power rankings, traditional powers like the Steelers, Patriots, Chargers and Cowboys are coming fast. The Steelers, in particular, are moving up after beating the Vikings and Broncos in consecutive games, while the Patriots will have their chance to climb in the next few weeks.
The Cowboys now rule the NFC East, but they won't get to really answer critics until December and January. And the Chargers are starting to get close to the AFC West lead again. Meanwhile, the Broncos are facing skeptics all over again after being handled by Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
The top of the NFL power rankings for week 10 is a little more crowded now, but beyond this group, the gap between contenders and pretenders is still pretty big. With the first half of the season now over for every team, the time has come to get serious in the second half. Will the Saints, Colts and Vikings keep going on to glory, or will the Steelers and Patriots take their usual spots on top when it's all over?
For now, the NFL power rankings of week 10 have these top 12 in the best position.
1. New Orleans Saints: 8-0
2. Indianapolis Colts: 8-0
3. Pittsburgh Steelers: 6-2
4. Minnesota Vikings: 7-1
5. New England Patriots: 6-2
6. Denver Broncos: 6-2
7. Cincinnati Bengals: 6-2
8. Dallas Cowboys: 6-2
9. San Diego Chargers: 5-3
10. Atlanta Falcons: 5-3
11. Arizona Cardinals: 5-3
12. Philadelphia Eagles: 5-3

Post a CommentMy Steelers are just where I like them. They're playing like a contender but also are under the radar compared to the attention the Colts and Patriot get. Man those uniforms in the picture have to go though!
