NFL Power Rankings Week 7: Hello Drew Brees
Several Teams Had Extremely Impressive Week's and it Shows in the New NFL Power Rankings
The biggest surprise of the week wasn't that the New England Patriots beat the Tennessee Titans, but that they embarrassed them by a score of 59-0. Tom Brady proved he is still a great quarterback, but the Titans also proved they have a lot of work to do on that franchise. As we predicted before, the New York Jets came back to Earth, but they did it in a very ugly fashion against (gasp) Buffalo. The other shocker was that Cincinnati played host to the Houston Texans, but were beaten 28-17 in an ugly game. They will be punished severely in the rankings for the output that they had on this night.
The game of the season (so far) was between the undefeated New York Giants and the undefeated New Orleans Saints, but Drew Brees made it his show as he shredded the Giants defense. The Saints defense was equally as impressive, shutting down the running game of the Giants, and keeping Eli Manning boxed in for most of the night. The Minnesota Vikings were also impressive again, and with the heroics of Brett Favre, became the only team in the NFL with a 6-0 record so far. Their all-around game showed that they can rely on more than just the arm of Brett Favre for the rest of the season. It looks like they can compete with the best of the defenses around the league, and that has to make the Vikings fans quite happy.

"The game of the season (so far) was between the undefeated New York Giants and the undefeated New Orleans Saints"
R u a complete moron? Just saw one last night that was the best of the season.
Finally.... Some of the credit we deserve in N.O. We are going to PUNISH every team (including the SUPERBOWL competitor) for every beating we have taken since the 60's. hahahahahaha
I%27ll leave the comment and the gestimation to the idiots who thinks they know which team is the best and who%27s going to win.... on the other hand%2C what I can say is this... they say the saints have an easy run so far, but who have the vikes played?? NOBODY!! The Saints have taken down two of the top unbeatens in the NFL handily. And they will do the same to the vikes in the playoffs. Not to mention Farve is gonna fall off late in the season. Always happens.
look out NFL the TEXANS are hitting there stride for the first time!
I am sooooo very glad we are number one...where we should be for some time. I believe the only people to give some a run for our money.. for the next lot of games would be NE... that is without looking very in depth to the team... sorry to everyone else's team we run over this year, but we like our huge stats :)
You must have some kind of pent up resentment for the Colts. At the start of the season, I did not think they should be in the top ten, but after seeing them go 5-0, I would have to put them number 2 behind New Orleans. The Vikings and the Broncos are pretenders and will not make it past the first round of the playoffs. Come on.
dude the eagles got destroyed by the saints.... and they lost to jamarcus russel ouch
Colts are better than the Broncos, and New England is certainly better than Atlanta. New England beat Atlanta hands down in their matchup. Atlanta was confused the entire game.
