One of the teams that receives an immediate downgrade is the New York Jets, who are still missing Darrelle Revis. He may not cost them too many games (by holding out) but this is definitely a weaker team in the secondary until he is back on the field. Those Seattle Seahawks are also getting knocked down a peg after cutting so many veterans heading into this season, and we need more proof that they are better without T.J. Houshmandzadeh than just Pete Carroll's word. They might be, but we need more proof.
The 2010 NFL season gets started on Thursday, September 9, meaning that the full regular season is just right around the corner. It's going to be an exciting year in the NFL, especially with so many rookies from the 2010 NFL Draft getting the chance to make an immediate impact. One of them will be Sam Bradford, who was announced as the starting quarterback for the St. Louis Rams heading into week one. Then there is Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions that is also expected to make a big impact on defense.
The division that seems to be the most up for grabs is the NFC West, with the teams all looking like they could struggle early on in the 2010 season. We don't expect any team from that division to advance beyond the wild card weekend in the NFL Playoffs.
