NFL Results in Week 11 Stun Experts

Robert Dougherty
The NFL results in week 11 defied a lot of expectations. Before Sunday, the NFL results for week 11 were supposed to have easy wins for the Steelers and Bengals, and feature the worst game of the year in the Browns vs. Lions. But instead, the NFL results in week 11 turned everything upside down. The Browns and Lions briefly became more than pathetic 1-8 teams, and several playoff teams suffered gigantic setbacks. Thanks to the NFL results for week 11, fans are still catching their breath, and trying to make sense of the new playoff picture.

The big NFL results for week 11 came from the AFC North. The Ravens needed to end the Colts' undefeated season, but fell just short in a heartbreaking 17-15 loss. But the Ravens were expected to lose, whereas the Steelers were just shocked by the 2-7 Chiefs in overtime - right after Ben Roethlisberger suffered a possible concussion. All of a sudden, the Ravens vs Steelers Sunday night game in week 12 could have both teams' season on the line.

With those NFL results, week 11 should have been when the Cincinnati Bengals sealed up a division title. Instead, the 2-7 Raiders pulled their second shocking upset of the year, as the Bengals handed them a 20-17 win. The Bengals took a giant step back, right after they looked to be a legitimate contender.

However, the week 11 NFL results were better for other AFC teams. The Patriots bounced back against the Jets, while the Chargers took control of the AFC West by destroying the fading Broncos. At this point, the Patriots and Chargers may be in the best shape to beat the Colts in January.

The NFL results in week 11 also kept the Saints perfect, while the Giants finally won again over the Falcons in overtime, and the Cowboys needed only one touchdown to beat the Redskins. The Cardinals got another win, only to lose Kurt Warner after halftime.

But the most memorable NFL result for week 11 came from the most shocking source. All week, the Browns vs Lions game was made fun of, as the two lowly 1-8 teams were supposed to play the worst game of the year. However, the Browns and Lions actually remembered how to score touchdowns - and the Lions got one on the final play to win 38-37.

What's more, Matthew Stafford won it right after he hurt his non-throwing shoulder on a Hail Mary, in the most humiliating loss yet for Cleveland. A pass interference call in the end zone doomed the Browns, after already blowing a 24-3 lead.

Fans and pundits have a lot to digest after these NFL results for week 11. They might be able to catch their breath tonight, since the Titans and Texans are on - beginning the countdown to next Monday's Patriots vs Saints showdown.
