Ravens 24 Falcons 10
I predicted a Ravens victory and cover here and that's exactly what happened. I hate to say it, but the Falcons and quarterback Michael Vick, appear to be as confused as ever.
Baltimore is looking very strong right now while Atlanta is going in the other direction fast and find themselves in danger of missing the playoffs altogether.
Bills 14 Texans 7
This is another game I called correctly. The Texans look like their usual clueless selves under another new head coach, while the Bills have continued to their overachieving play all season.
Bears 10 Jets 0
I called this one right also. The Bears handled their business against the feisty Jets. Chicago would appear to be the team to beat in the NFC, while the Jets certainly have nothing to be embarrassed about. As a matter of fact, I'm going out on a limb right now to say they will be a playoff team in 2007.
Bengals 31 Saints 16
This game was my first loser on the slate. The Bengals actually played a little bit of defense, although they gave up over 500 yards passing to Saints quarterback Drew Brees. New Orleans on the other hand, seemed to move the ball at will against the Bengals but couldn't get in the end zone when they needed to. Defensively, the Saints are mediocre at best.
Dolphins 24 Viking 20
I picked the Fish to barely beat the struggling Vikings and they did. Miami is starting to resemble the team many thought they would be all season. However, this could once again turn out to be a case of too little, too late. The Vikings are struggling mightily on offense right now and need someone, anyone, to make a big play. Quarterback, Brad Johnso is still capable of making plays when given the time and surrounding talent.
Patriots 35 Packers 0I said the Pats would roll big time and roll they did.
Chiefs 17 Raiders 13
The Chiefs pulled out a squeaker over the Raiders, but didn't cover like I said they would. Loser. Kansas City actually survived the reinstatement of Trent Green as the starting quarterback (although I thought it was a bad move) but I'm going on record to say that this same performance by the Chiefs against a better opponent, will give them a loss.
Steelers 24 Browns 20
I picked the Steelers to cover and they cost me. Although Roethlisberger and the Steelers managed to pull this game out, there is clearly something missing from the usual Pittsburgh Steelers teams we are accustomed to seeing with Bill Cowher coached teams.
Panthers 15 Rams 0
I picked the Rams to cover and they almost did. However almost isn't good enough when there's money on the line. Carolina is starting to gel at the right time once again and the Rams are beginning to fade - again.
Titans 31 Eagles 13
I predicted the Titans to cover easily in my "lock" pick of the week. By winning, they made me look like the star I am. Seriously though, the Eagles are in real trouble - and their future suddenly looks cloudy.
Buccaneers 20 Redskins 17
I called this game Tampa Bay 21 Washington and it was almost exactly right. Giving me another winner.
Cardinals 17 Lions 10
I picked the Cardinals to win by three and cover. They did, cha-ching! Arizona may be playing right now for head coach, Dennis Green's job, while the Lions have been confusing to say the least. After appearing to have made some major strides just a couple of weeks ago, they once again look like they're lost.
49ers 20 Seahawks 14
I picked the 49ers to cover but lose. They did me one better by winning outright. Thanks Frisco. San Francisco has to feel very good about its season at this point and appear as if they are headed in the right direction under Mike Nolan. The Seahawks, like the Steelers, don't look like the same Super Bowl participant from last season
Cowboys 21 Colts 14
Whoops. My bad. I picked the Colts to win on the road against an improved Dallas team that looks like it may be ready to blossom. Looking back, this was a perfect time for the Colts to lose a game - and for the Cowboys to win a big one under new starting quarterback, Tony Romo. I guess I should have had a V-8.
Chargers Broncos
I picked the Broncos to win but the Bolts to cover, so this close game ended up being another winner for me. The Chargers look like they're on a 'Super Bowl or Bust' mission - most likely, against either, the Indianapolis Colts or New England Patriots.
Jaguars Giants
This was another loser for me. I picked the Giants to win outright and cover, but they didn't. The Jags, at this point, are a better team. New York is hurting with injuries and had better get health - and in sync - by playoff time.
