NFL Week 12 Scores and Results from NFL Schedule

Three Thanksgiving Games, a Great Sunday Night Game, and a Great Monday Night Game This Week

Ryan Christopher DeVault
NFL week 12 scores have been coming in since the three Thanksgiving games. These NFL week 12 scores are also including quite a few divisional rivalries as well as a couple of very interesting Sunday night and Monday night games that are going to highlight the first part of the 2009 NFL season already. The week 12 NFL schedule held three games on Thanksgiving that were intended to keep people interested in football scores during the holiday, but the games may not have been as competitive as one would have hoped prior to the schedule actually playing out.

The week 12 NFL scores from Thursday included Green Bay defeating Detroit by a score of 34 to 12, with Aaron Rodgers really holding his own and beating up the struggling Lions. The heroes of the day were the Green Bay defense though, as they kept the pressure on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and came up with some very key interceptions on their way to victory. In the other two Thanksgiving games, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Oakland Raiders by a score of 24 to 7, and the Denver Broncos defeated the New York Giants by a score of 26 to 6 in a loss that is going to haunt the Giants for the rest of the season.

A few of the early morning games for Sunday, November 29th may not be as interesting to people who aren't fans of the teams participating. There are a few divisional rivalry games taking place, but several of them are between teams that have had frustrating seasons so far, while others are unevenly matched games that could lack some interest. A couple of the games that may struggle to find wide audiences are Tampa Bay at Atlanta, Seattle at St. Louis, and Miami at Buffalo. A more interesting game will be played in Houston when Peyton Manning and the Colts come to visit, and Houston was actually able to take an early lead in that game.

Sunday night profiles a game between Arizona and Tennessee, and then NBC has Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore in their prime time schedule for the night. Monday night football is going to be New England vs. New Orleans in a really good battle of two of the best offenses in the NFL. All in all it's not a bad week of football, and if early week 12 NFL scores are any indication of things to come, this could be looked at as the week of upsets for the NFL.
