NFL Week 12 Spread Locks; Best Bets 2010 Football Picks

Michael Luchies
I am feeling good coming off of a 4-1 week. Here are last weeks locks, I had a chance at a perfect week but the Broncos failed to keep my streak going after losing +10.

New England Patriots (-7) @ Detroit Lions
I am once again picking against my Detroit Lions. Even if the Lions had Stafford and a completely healthy team I would take the Pats -7. Jahvid Best looks sluggish as he is still battling toe injuries, and Shaun Hill did not look especially sharp last week against the Cowboys. Expect a brutal Thanksgiving beating, Patriots cover.
Prediction: New England 38-17

Pittsburgh Steelers (-6) @ Buffalo Bills
The Bills have been playing tough this season despite their poor 2-8 record, but are no match for the 7-3 Steelers who just delivered a 35-3 curb stomp against the Raiders. Don't expect much mercy of the part of the Steelers. The Bills will not get much offense going against the Steelers despite their efforts against the Bengals. Take the Steelers to cover.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 28-10

Those are my only two locks for the week unfortunately. Several games seem very dangerous this weekend. I would not jump on the Jets -9 against the Bengals simply because they have been playing to the level of their opponent and have not been putting teams away. They nearly let the Lions and Browns come away with a victory. The Saints -3.5 is not a safe bet against the Cowboys either. I like Jacksonville to cover +7.5 against the Giants but am not willing to call it a 'lock'.

Good luck this week! Please post your picks in the comments
