NFL Week 13 NFL Predictions/Betting Picks

12/6 NFL Gameday Picks

Michael Luchies
New York Jets @ Buffalo
When the spread for this contest is released, which should be in the jets favor by around 7, be very careful jumping on the Jets bandwagon. The Jets should win the game, but with their recent struggles I would be hesitant to take any spread of -3 or higher. The Jets have lost 6 of their last 7 games including a game against the same Bills in New York.
Prediction: Jets 17-16
Line Prediction: Buffalo Bills +3

Tampa Bay @ Carolina

Josh Freeman is showing why he was a first round quarterback in the 2009 NFL draft, but don't expect any miracles in Carolina on Sunday. Steve Smith and Delhomme are finally regaining their chemistry, and with Stewart and DeAngelo Williams the Panthers have the best running back combination in the NFL. Tampa doesn't stand much of a chance but I don't expect a complete blowout.
Prediction: Carolina 27-17
Line Prediction: Carolina -6.5

St. Louis @ Chicago
Expect the Bears to make a statement against the Rams at home in Chicago. Chicago has been criticized all year for their coaching and acquisition of struggling quarterback Jay Cutler. Despite losing 5 of their last 6, expect a blowout against the Rams much like they did the Browns in week 8 (30-6). The Rams have Steven Jackson and a handful of decent players, and not much else. Take the Bears big.
Prediction: Chicago 35-10
Line Prediction: Chicago -9

Tennessee @ Indianapolis
Bettor beware: Do not bet Indianapolis in this game if you have a weak stomach. Coming into week 12, the last 4 Indianapolis victories have been by a combined 10 points (2.5 ppg). The Colts are getting the job done, but are not covering spreads. Tennessee has been looking tough, and they will show up against the Colts. I would not advise taking Indianapolis to cover, although they did in week 12 after a late comeback against Houston.
Prediction: Indianapolis 27-24
Line Prediction: Tennessee +7

Philadelphia @ Atlanta
The Eagles v Falcons match up is one of the harder games to pick in week 13. Both teams have had worse then expected seasons after 12 weeks into the NFL calendar. The Eagles have had their struggles closing out games including a game against the Raiders. The 5-5 Falcons haven't been able to compete with their better opponents, but have beaten the teams they are supposed to. Philadelphia has a little more firepower than the Falcons do, expect a close win for Philly.
Prediction: Eagles 24-21
Line Prediction: Atlanta +5.5

Oakland @ Pittsburgh
No team has annoyed bettors than the Raiders this season. With upset wins over the Eagles and Bengals, Oakland seems to come to play at the most unexpected times. Despite Oakland's surprise wins, don't expect any surprises in this one as long as Ben Roethlisberger can play. Pittsburgh walks to a victory in this game in Pittsburgh.
Prediction: Steelers 28-13
Line Prediction: Pittsburgh -14

Detroit @ Cincinnati
Don't expect any Stafford miracles in this contest. The Bengals are better in every aspect of the game and should run away with this one. The Bengals are still trying to prove that they are for real after losing to the Texans and the Raiders. The Lions secondary simply can't compete with Palmer and the Bengals receiving core.
Prediction: Cincinnati 42-17
Line Prediction: Bengals -13

New Orleans @ Washington

The Saints won't lose in Washington, but the weather may play in factor as far as the spread is concerned. Washington does have a good defense that has simply not shown up several times this year, but expect everyone to come ready in week 13 against the Saints. I like the Saints in a surprisingly close game. After the beat down delivered to the Patriots, people will be jumping on the Saints -9.5, but I think we are in for a surprise.
Prediction: Saints 21-16
Line Prediction: Washington +9.5

Denver @ Kansas City
Kansas City is a mess and does not have much hope for finishing the season on a positive note. Although Denver will be on the road, expect them to win with ease using their ground attack against the Chiefs.
Prediction: Denver 24-13
Line Prediction: Denver -5

Houston @ Jacksonville
This game won't get the ratings it deserves, but Houston and Jacksonville are quietly making a case for playoff berths. If Houston's rushing attack was consistent I would take them to win against Jacksonville. Garrard has been solid over the past few weeks, and Maurice Jones Drew leads the league in rushing touchdowns with 13. Jaguars win a tight battle.
Prediction: Jacksonville 27-23
Line Prediction: Pick- Jacksonville

San Diego @ Cleveland
The cold weather will put up more of a fight than the Cleveland defense. Chargers win by a large margin even on the road.
Prediction: Chargers 45-13
Line Prediction: Chargers -13.5

Dallas @ NY Giants
New York can't find their rhythm, while the Cowboys are Miles ahead. The loss against the struggling Broncos proves that the Giants just aren't a cohesive team. The Cowboys have been able to fight through adversity this year and lead the NFC East with an 8-3 record. The game will stay close, but don't expect the Giants to pull out the win.
Prediction: Dallas 28-24
Line Prediction: Dallas -2.5

Minnesota @ Arizona
Favre vs. Warner is worthy of prime time television on NBC Sunday night. The Vikings have had superior coaching, rushing attack, and a better quarterback so far this season. I like Minnesota, but this game could end too close to take the Vikings with the spread.
Prediction: Minnesota 27-21
Line Prediction: Minnesota -2.5

San Francisco @ Seattle
Both teams have been so bad lately, this could end in a tie. Since I have to choose, I'll take the home Seahawks.
Prediction: 17-7 Seahawks
Line Prediction: Pick- Seahawks

New England @ Miami
Will the wildcat once again surprise the Patriots? The loss of Ronnie Brown will be significant enough to give the Patriots the upper hand even with Miami's productive wildcat offense. I don't expect a blow out, but I like the Pats by a touchdown.
Prediction: Patriots 27-20
Line Prediction: Patriots -6

Baltimore @ Green Bay
Baltimore's defense is good for at least 5-6 sacks against the Packers O-line. The Ravens will throw everything at Rodgers, and will disrupt him enough to win at Lambeau Field.
Prediction: Baltimore 24-14
Line Prediction: Baltimore +3
