NFL Week 14: The Games You Need to Watch

Bo Thornton
The NFL season is close to being over. We are already in week 14. The playoff race is yet to be decided. There are several important games being played this weekend. After week 14, there should be a few less playoff contenders. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the games.

Chargers @ Cowboys

This game is very important for both the AFC and NFC playoff race. The Chargers hold a one game lead over the Broncos in the AFC West. For them to stay ahead of the Broncos, they can't afford to lose this game.

The Cowboys are tied with the Eagles for the lead in the NFC East. They definitely can not afford to lose this game.

This game could go either way, but I think the Chargers will go on the road and pull this one out.

Dolphins @ Jaguars

This is a crucial game in the AFC wild card picture. The Jaguars are in the 6th and final spot in the AFC. If the playoffs were held today, the Jaguars would participate.

The Dolphins are only one game back of the Jaguars. If they were to win against the Jaguars, they would go to the playoffs over the Jaguars based on head-to-head play.

I believe the Jaguars will win at home in a very close game. The Jaguars are more motivated than the Dolphins. The Jaguars are eager to return to the playoffs after missing them last year. There is a very good chance the Jaguars can retain the 6th playoff spot.

Bengals @ Vikings

This is an important game for positioning in both the AFC and NFC playoff race. The Bengals hold a three game lead in the AFC North. They would love to win this game because it would be a step toward securing a first round bye in the playoffs.

The Vikings hold a two game lead in the NFC North. Like the Bengals, the Vikings would like to earn a first round bye in the playoffs.
