The Colts remained undefeated and clinched the division last week with their victory over Denver. This week they might rest some of their starters, but they should still play strong with their secondary. The Jaguars are coming off a loss to the Dolphins. They are looking for the wildcard position still, so they will be playing hard to make a final push.
Colts 28, Jaguars 24
Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints:
The Cowboys haven't showed up to play in December the last few years. Tony Romo tends to throw lower percentages and the team doesn't seem to function with a whole lot of efficiency. The Saints are on top of the power rankings and still have their undefeated record to protect. They have a strong run game and a strong pass game.
Saints 35, Cowboys 21
Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs:
The Browns are coming off an upset victory over the Steelers. They will be looking to win another one this week. The Chiefs hung in tight last week with the Bills but were unable to pull through with a victory.
Browns 27, Chiefs 14
Atlanta Falcons at New York Jets:
The Falcons seem to be slipping recently. They've lost their last two games without Matt Ryan. If Ryan returns this week, they will have a better chance at coming through with a victory. The Jets dominated Tampa Bay last week allowing only 3 points.
Jets 24, Falcons 21
Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans:
The Dolphins are coming off a strong win against the Jaguars. They have a strong running game, but they are still trying to improve their passing game with Chad Henne. The Titans dominated the Rams last week. They put 47 points on the board while only allowing 7. Chris Johnson is the key to their success.
Titans 35, Dolphins 17
Houston Texans at St. Louis Rams:
The Texans put on a show last week, defeating the Seahawks 34-7. Matt Shaub has been a surprise this year with his passing stats. The Rams are at the bottom of the power rankings. They are without their starting quarterback.
Texans 31, Rams 10
Arizona Cardinals at Detroit Lions:
The Cardinals have proven to be one of the top teams on the power ranking this week. Even though they are coming off a loss (which was mainly due to 7 turnovers), they should rebound this week against the Lions. The Lions are struggling again this year. Matt Stafford seems to have brought some type of passing game that is fairly inconsistent.
Cardinals 28, Lions 17
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles:
Both teams are coming off strong victories. The 49ers caused 7 turnovers against the Cardinals last week will be trying to force more this week against the Eagles. The Eagles are starting to incorporate new plays into the playbook. Last week, they used Vick and McNabb on multiple plays.
Eagles 24, 49ers 17
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills:
The Patriots are coming off a strong victory against the Panthers last week. They are in the push for the playoffs, so they will be looking to score first and score the most. The Bills also were victorious last week, squeaking by the Chiefs. Fitzpatrick's injury might affect him this week against the tough Patriots' defense.
Patriots 31, Bills 21
Chicago Bears at Baltimore Ravens:
The Bears lost last week to their biggest rival, the Packers. Cutler threw two more picks to add on to his plethora of interceptions he's thrown already this year. The Ravens are coming off an easy victory over the Lions. Their offense is showing strong and their defense looks better than ever.
Baltimore 35, Bears 17
Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos:
Both teams are coming off losses. The Raiders have found an inconsistent passing game with Gradkowski, but still haven't found any game on the ground. The Broncos performed well last week, but were unable to hold back the undefeated Colts. (Congratulations to Brandon Marshall for his record performance)
Broncos 28, Raiders 14
Cincinnati Bengals at San Diego Chargers:
Both teams are very strong playoff contenders. The Bengals are coming off a harsh loss to the Vikings and the Chargers squeaked by Dallas last week. This game is up in the air with two teams trying to make final pushes for the playoffs.
Chargers 20, Bengals 17
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks:
The Buccaneers have only won one game this year, but have been close to winning multiple games. They just can't seem to catch a break. The Seahawks have suffered the loss of Mike Holmgren after last season and haven't seemed to bounce back. I think the Buccaneers might just get lucky this week.
Buccaneers 17, Seahawks 14
Green Bay Packers at Pittsburg Steelers:
The Packers are on a 5 game winning streak. They are in the lead for the wildcard and will be looking to extend that lead this week. The Steelers are a snowball falling down the side of a mountain. Their playoff hopes are diminishing as they keep getting beat by irrelevant teams. They'll try to push back this week against the Packers, but it might just be too late.
Packers 28, Steelers 17
Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers:
The Vikings are one of the top 5 teams in the power rankings. They have a strong passing game with a very strong running game. The Panthers suffered a tough loss last week to the Patriots. They will be looking to keep their playoff hopes alive this week.
Vikings 28, Panthers 24
New York Giants at Washington Redskins:
The Giants are in the hunt for the wildcard and for the division. The race in the NFC East is tight, so they will be working hard to get wins. The Redskins are looking to spoil teams for the rest of the season because they are no longer in the hunt for the playoffs.
Giants 34, Redskins 21
