The NFL Week 17 Power Rankings show the Giants at the top:

1. New York Giants (12-3) - With the win over Carolina Panthers, the Giants have shown they are still a force to be reckoned with. They have already clinched a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. These defending Super Bowl champions are the team to beat.

2. Tennessee Titans (13-2) - A convincing win over the Pittsburgh Steelers proves the Titans are the team to beat in the AFC. Like the GIaints, they too have clinched a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-4) - Though they have clinched a playoff spot, their recent loss to the Titans puts them in 3rd place.

4. Indianapolis Colts (11-4) - The red hot Colts chose the right time of the season to go on an 8 game win streak. They have momentum at this point of the season allowing them to clinch the wild card which is why they are in the top 4.

5. Carolina Panthers (11-4) - They are 3-1 in their last 4 games and have shown they are a worthy team behind the Giants in the NFC.

6. New England Patriots (10-5) - Winning 4 out of their last 5 games, they are strong candidates for AFC East division champions.

7. Baltimore Ravens (10-5) - With a 4-1 record in their last 5 games, their rushing game is keeping them in the hunt for the playoffs.

8. Atlanta Falcons (10-5) - Thanks to their strong finish to this season, they have clinched a wildcard spot.

9. New York Jets (9-6) - Even with their recent struggles, they manage to remain in the midst of the playoff race. Their streaky ways might be just what they need for the remainder of the season and possibly the playoffs.

10. Dallas Cowboys (9-6) - Once considered the top team in the NFC now are fighting for a playoff spot due to poor team communication in a couple of their previous games. When firing on all cylinders, they are a huge threat.

11. Miami Dolphins (10-5) - The Dolphins have gotten hot late in the season and are on a 4 game win streak. Their last game of the season will decide if they make it to the playoffs or not.

12. Chicago Bears (9-6) - The Bears have picked the right time of the season to go on a 3 game winning streak as they are still in the playoff hunt in the NFC.

13. Minnesota Vikings (9-6) - Though they slipped against the Falcons, they are 4-1 in their last 5 games and are looking for a playoff spot.

14. Arizona Cardinals (8-7) - They have lost their last 2 games and are 1-4 in their last 5 games but are the division champions and have clinched a playoff spot.

15. Tampa Bay Bucaneers (9-6) - The Bucs have been struggling as of late though they are still in the playoff race.

16. Philadelphia Eagles (8-6-1) - Failed to score a single touchdown in their last game led to their sixth loss of the season.

17. Denver Broncos (8-7) - Though they are on a 2 game losing streak, they still have a chance to win their division.

18. Washington Redskins (8-7) - Finally able to end their 3 game losing streak with a win against the Eagles.

19. New Orelans Saints (8-7) - They defeated the winless Lions in their last game. The Saints are still leading the league in points scored, total yards, and passing yards.

20. San Diego Chargers (7-8) - Before the season, predicted to be the top of the AFC they now have a losing record but still have a chance to win the AFC West.

21. Buffalo Bills (7-8) - They managed to pull an upset over the Broncos in their last game.

22. Houston Texans (7-8) - They are 4-1 in their last 5 games as the Raiders ended their 4 game win streak.

23. San Francisco 49ers (6-9) - They have a tough season finale against the Redskins.

24. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10) - They went into the double digits for the loss column after losing to the Colts.

25. Green Bay Packers (5-10) - Last season 1 game away from the Super Bowl, this season won only 5 games. Maybe trading Favre wasn't such a bright idea!

26. Seattle Seahawks (4-11) - Holmgren's final home game is a victory over the Jets.

27. Oakland Raiders (4-11) - They managed to defeat the Texans to end their 3 game losing streak.

28. Cleveland Browns (4-11) - Good luck trying to end your 5 game losing streak to the Pittsburgh Steelers next week!

29. Cincinnati Bengals (3-11-1) - They are on a 2 game winning streak, which accounts for 2/3 of their total wins this season.

30. Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) - Their last game of the season is against the Bengals, maybe they can stop their 3 game losing streak.

31. St. Louis Rams (2-13) - 9 game losing streak. At least they are not the worst team in the NFL.

32. Detroit Lions (0-15) - Their only shot a win this season will come in Green Bay.
