REDSKINS -9 over Cardinals
The Cardinals are very out of sorts right now, especially after losing their number 1 and number 2 quarterback options. With it being very unlikely that Kurt Warner suits up this weekend, and seeing the offensive struggles the Cards had without him against the Panthers, this should be an easy double-digit win for the Redskins
SAINTS -8.5 over Falcons
The Saints offense looked to be back against the very decent Seahawks defense this weekend. Playing at home the Saints will want to prove that their season is not over, while the Falcons season looks like it is mostly over. Byron Leftwich will be sacked quite a few times and this game should be a blowout.
DOLPHINS +16.5 over Patriots
For some reason the Dolphins always play the Patriots well. This is a different year, with different Patriots and Dolphins teams, but I see something a little closer to a good game than a 16.5-point spread. Call me crazy, but I will go with the Fins.
DOLPHINS +1200 over Patriots
I haven't made a selection for a winner yet this season, but +1200 is too tempting not to lay a little cash on. The Dolphins usually beat the Patriots at least once a year, no matter how bad they are. This is a spot to lay a little bit of risk for a potentially big reward. Once again, call me crazy, but I just think it might happen.
GIANTS -9.5 over 49ers
The 49ers offense looks terrible and they are still weeks away from getting Alex Smith back in the mix. The Giants on the other hand have pulled off 4 straight wins since their 0-2 start and they look like a real football team, on both sides of the ball. This should be an easy win for the G-Men.
Buccaneers +2.5 over LIONS
The Buccaneers are playing well but I guess I am just not sold on their defense. I feel that the Lions and Jon Kitna will put enough points on the board to cover this spread. The Bucs don't have the most potent offense and they are playing away, so I will take the home dog in this one.
TEXANS +1.5 over Titans
The Titans should be without VY this weekend when they play the Texans. After the Texans great start they have been terrible, but they did show that they could play. I see a very, very low scoring game in Houston, but I also see a nice little upset win for the Texans.
Chiefs +2.5 over RAIDERS
The Chiefs are getting no respect. The Raiders offense is very bad, yet the Chiefs are 2.5-point underdogs. I will gladly take the Larry Johnson show over the Raiders. If you saw what LT did against them last week, you know what to expect from LJ. The Chiefs will not only cover, but they will win.
Bears +5 over EAGLES
The Eagles are terrible, plain and simple. I know the Bears aren't that much better, but they are better. This line should not be so high in favoring the Eagles and it is a mistake. The Bears will cover this spread. They are not the Jets.
Bears/EAGLES under 41
I wonder if this game will even make double-digits for scoring. The Bears did put up a lot of points last week, but how often does that really happen. Also, the Eagles only put up around 19 on the Jets, so I don't see them scoring more than that against the Bears.
Steelers -3.5 over BRONCOS
The Broncos can't stop the run, period. Willie Parker should have a field day on Sunday and the Broncos just plain look terrible. The Steelers are very close to being undefeated, but they have shown some weaknesses. I will still go with one of the best teams in the NFL over the struggling Broncos.
JAGUARS +3 over Colts
Upset Special. The Jaguars are a much better football team than people realize. Sure the Colts are very good, but the Jaguars will be able to handle them defensively. The last time these two teams faced, the Jags put up over 300 rushing yards. If they even get half of that this week, they have a great shot at winning. I think the Colts go down for the first time this season on Monday night.
