Niagara fall is located right on the border of the United States and Canada. I must say though, that in my own humble opinion, Canada got the best views of this great waterfall. You will find everything you are looking for in a great vacation at Niagara Falls United States and Niagara Falls Canada. Hotels, restaurants, concerts and exciting nightlife will keep you busy. The theme parks and indoor water parks in the area will thrill the kids as well.
The Niagara Falls themselves deliver great excitement to be remembered for a long time. Set aside and hour for a visit to the Journey Behind the Falls and feel the power of the falls as they crash some 13 stories down to the pool below.
A great adventure is a ride on the Maid of the Mist. Decked out in the rain gear provided by the boat operators, prepare for one of the most exciting rides of a lifetime. You will have a choice of standing on the open deck or going below where you will stay dry. The open deck provides the most exhilarating experience, but for very young children the enclosed area may be best. The Maid of the Mist will slowly cruise to the base of the falls. Splashing waters from the falls shower down on you as you feel the Maid tossing around in the churning water. I cannot say enough about the ride on the Maid of the Mist. Your rain gear will be yours to keep.
Another opportunity for excitement is a ride on the Whirlpool Aero Car. Operated by Niagara Parks, the cable car carries you over the Niagara River. The cable car travels high above the Niagara whirlpool and can be a little scary but a lot of fun.
There are so many things to see and many fun things to do at the Niagara Falls. The Niagara Parks website provides a great deal of information and a good list of attractions to help when planning your vacation.
Since the events of September 11, 2001, border crossing policies have become more stringent. You are now required to provide passports or approved identification to cross the border. Information regarding the requirements can be found on the Canada Border Services website, as well as the U.S. Department of State website.
