Nice Cars Dealership, for Good People

Nice Cars is a car dealership operating in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama that boasts Christian principals. They offer good cars to good people with typically little to no down payment. Sounds like a great deal right? Almost, but do not get too excited. The company you would think would be wonderful to work with since they are based upon Christian principals, however they are the most untrusting and unchristian people I have ever done business with.

Not only are they untrusting and force people to put their car payment before even their rent/mortgage but they require the use of a Passtime device in all cars they sell, which just once again screams, we are Christians, but we do not trust you!! They do tend to have friendly sales staff, however the office staff as well as the staff in the collections department leaves much to be desired as they are not very friendly or Christian based at all.

They have a huge selection of cars, however you can expect to pay at least 2-6 thousand over the blue book value of a vehicle plus add the whopping 24-28 percent interest on top of that astronomical price tag. Makes the vehicles rather expensive. Good news is that insurance is not required to drive off the lot, however must be furnished within two business days. Other good point is full coverage is not required, only the state minimum is what they require, so your only looking at 400-700 a month for a used vehicle that has approximately 70,000 miles on it, if not much more. Most of their vehicles are approximately 5 to 10 years old, which adds to the damage of the large price tags and huge interest.

They claim in their advertisements and at the office locations that a CarFAX report of your vehicle is available upon purchase, however upon asking for my copy of the report for the vehicle I recently purchased I kept getting the runaround on actually receiving that, which makes me think that it's just a claim not something they actually back up.

I would have to say that overall it's not a good company to be involved with, I had to call and make arrangements to pay one payment 2 days late, after the last 6 payments had all been very early, and was told they wouldn't wait. I sat around upset over the pending repossession and finally decided that if they were unwilling to wait 2 days for a payment that I would not do business with them any further. I have since sent the vehicle back and have not been happier. For what I paid as the total down payment for the vehicle purchased from them I could have gotten a brand new vehicle financed through a new car dealership. Which obviously those cars include warranties, as well as much better interest rates and no Passtime devices installed.

I think in the future I will not rush out and car shop, instead I will save my money and deal with companies who are not busy hiding behind a claim of Christian principals in the future.

My husband went to them to get a car in 2003 I think it was. We had it for about 3 months. Long story short the vehicle stayed broke down more than it ran. I called and told them they could have the vehicle back,it was broke down again for the 4th time and sitting in the yard. They came and got the vehicle. Then in 2008 my husband got served papers. Nice Cars had went out of business in Dalton,GA and had filed bankruptcy(or something like that) they were suing him for $14,000 for this vehicle he let go back. I wondered how this could be,it's a buy here pay here place and you know they sold it to someone else. I called and asked what this was all about and the lady said that my husband had initialed on the contract that he was responsible for the vehicle amount owed if vehicle was ever gave back or repoed. I asked them to send me a copy of it and they did. There was his initals beside this one tiny paragraph on this one sheet of paper with many other paragraphs with his initals. You hav

I thought this was a buy here pay here but now they are trying to sue my brother for payment on a car that he took back to them. They said there was no problem when he returned it and they would resale, not to worry about the balance owed. They lied!!!!

Has anyone heard of a class action lawsuit against Nice Cars? I have had a car for 2 years from them and have never had a problem. I currently cannot get anyone to answer the phone so I can make my payment. I have read that the business has sold and now the company is in chapter 11 bankruptcy. Is this true? Where do I make a payment or can I make a payment? If I cannot where is my money and who has my title? I have never missed a payment and have hept the car in good mechanical condition. I just want to make a payment and keep my car!!!!!!!

We purchased a vehicle through nice cars about 3 years ago and we had problems with the brakes and replaced them 3 times and they still was not working properly. The people at nice cars would not replace them even though they were aware of the problem when we bought it. When we cleaned out the vehicle we found paperwork of the previous owner and was financed for the same amount of money that we purchased it for. When we finally let it go back they told us that if the vehicle was in good shape they would just resale it and not sue, about 3 years later we sued for the ampunt owed and are making payments on it every month. The lawyer they used would not even give us proof of what they sold the vehicle for.I will never do business with nice cars again.

doe anyone know if they will sue us and garnish the payments because they have made us drive 50 miles out of the way to pay and we cant do it anymore . and they have lost our money orders in the mail they refuse to let us pay with a check . or debit. and now i am done with it all . they are making us pay double for nothing. plus when they moved they changed the payment time themselves .. that is not what the contract said . now they want to sue us . do they actually take us to court or has anyone had that experience . the things they are doing is iilegal and should be a federal offense to steal our money orders like that thanks in advance

I have dealt with Nice Cars before, my wife and I got a explorer from them. We waited in the office the whole day literally 7 hours then when they finally pulled us in the office they had all the paperwork like we had already agreed upon the price. They started talking about the payments and the device that shuts your car down if the payment is not made. Well finally I stopped him and said we didnt agree to pay that yet, he said then I guess you dont need a car. I finally said not at a 28 percent intrest rate. They are not Christian people, and I dont wany anyone to get Christianity mixed up with bad business. Christian business wont claim their practice as a Christian business. You can tell that it is a Christian business by the way they practice. NOT WHAT THEY SAY!!!!
