Nick Cannon is Not Engaged According to Myspace Post
On May 7th, Cannon proposed to girlfriend and model Selita Ebanks after three months of dating. After the couple attended a gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, it was then the Drumline star dropped to one knee and presented Ebanks with a twelve-carat diamond engagement ring as the question, "Selita, will you marry me?" blasted across the MTV Jumbotron.
After it appeared that the Victoria's Secret model had accepted his proposal, they attended an engagement party surrounded by family and close friends.
The next day, the internet was swarmed with stories that the actor no longer wanted to be a bachelor and was ready to settle down. There were many who were suspicious of his recent act.
Some believed that the quickie engagement was nothing more than a publicity stunt while others believed that the couple will not last because of Cannon's alleged history of playboy behavior.
His reps have kept quiet about this matter while it was Ebanks herself who told her side of the story loud and clear. On Ebanks' personal Myspace page, she made the following statement:
I HAVE TO CLEAR UP SOMETHING.....SELITA ENGAGED? NO WAY! I must tell you, everyone thinks Nick and I are engaged but yet we are really not...I had to talk to him after the proposal because I felt he didn't really do it for the right reasons...it was like a publicity stunt and all..I didn't too much care for it at all...all I did was hug him and whispered in his ear "We truely need to talk for sure!...Which we did and this is why I'm not engaged right now! Thanks to you all for the blessings but I'm sorry the media had lead you astray! Don't believe the hype of the media!
Only time will tell if Cannon's intentions were true.

Post a CommentAll I have to say is that girl has his nose wide open!!! LOL
If he's not married, he sure didn't defend that on MTV's summer special of "Wildin' Out." One of the cast members created a rhyme about him being married and all he did was grin. That was how I found out he was even married. If I was not married, I would have created a rhyme saying just the opposite, especially if I'm the host of the show. He did nothing of the sort.
