Nickel's Deli Style Buns

There are many different types of bread, hamburger, hot dog and sub buns available on the market. It can be difficult to choose a specific style and brand based on the packaging alone. My family eats a lot of sandwiches for lunch, and so we go through a lot of bread and sandwich buns. Recently I tried two different styles of sandwich / sub buns made by Nickels bread. In this review I will focus on the Nickels deli style buns in Italian split top and hard top kaiser rolls.

Nickels is a well known company in Ohio. Almost every grocery store carries a few of the Nickels line of products. I decided to try Nickels brand Italian split top sub buns based on their appearance alone. They looked really appetizing, I personally enjoy a nice Italian style sub bun. These sub buns have a good flavor, each sub bun is generous in size and in my opinion the perfect size for an individual sized sandwich. The buns are filling, not too soft so they don't fall apart while being eaten and also not too hard or dry. I found Nickels Italian split top sub buns on sale for $1.79 per package of 8. I think this is a good price for a good product, that I will certainly purchase again and I would also recommend to other consumers who are looking for a great sub bun.

Nickels hard top kaiser rolls are also quite good. They come in a package of 6 buns. I paid $1.49 per package for Nickels hard top kaiser style buns, also from the nickels deli line of products. These buns are generous in size. They are ideal for deli meat sandwiches or burgers. The name is a little deceptive, these are not really a hard bun, they are slightly soft, not too dry or hard, and they have a fantastic flavor which is sure to set off whatever meats you are enjoying on your sandwich. I personally like to warm my Nickels hard top kaiser buns up for a few seconds in the microwave to accent their flavor. I will definitely purchase this product again, and I would recommend it to others also.

I hope this review of Nickels deli style buns helps others to make an informed buying decision the next time they are looking for a great bun to accent their food. In my opinion both of these products are fantastic and a huge improvement over your standard old hamburger bun or slice of bread.
