Nick's Tomato Pie in Jupiter, Florida

A Review of the Restaurant

Seamus McDermott
My friend and I were interested in eating Italian the other night when we went out to eat. We were both sick of Carraba's and Olive Garden. We wanted something authetic, but we weren't wanting to sit in a small storefront pizzaria either. I remembered another friend of mine telling me about Nick's Tomato Pie in Jupiter, Florida. The restaurant isn't in the best location, but it's easy to find once somebody tells you. Head east on Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter and on the left you'll see a sign with large tomato on it and the name "Nick" above the tomato.

The restaurant only opens for dinner, but it's worth the wait. Prices may seem a little steep at first, but considering the amount of food you get, and the fact the fact that you can split an entree, it's really not that bad at all. My friend and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which was around $14 and my friend and I chose to split. The salad and bread comes comp and the portion was large enough that we had some left over even after both of us ate from it. We ate at the bar area, which can be crowded on a good night, and had wonderful service by one of the bartenders. As a matter of fact, after the food, the service is the best thing about Nick's Tomato Pie.

After we finished our entree, we both decided that we wanted dessert. Since I love cannolis and since a good one is so hard to find, we both decided to have a cannoli. We were in cannoli heaven there. The cannolis were large and stuffed to the gills and the pastry was of the right texture. The drinks are like anywhere else, but they only have bottled beer, no draughts.

All in all I was very impressed with Nick's Tomato Pie and would recommend it everyone. Everything is homemade and you get the feeling that you're dining in Olive Garden or Carraba's, but with better food. I recommend sitting the bar area, just because it's fun to sit there. Out of a possible 5 stars I give Nick's Tomato Pie 4 1/2 stars, mainly becaust they don't have draught beer.

  • Portions are large and you can share.
  • Prices only appear high, but they're not bad considering about of food you get.
  • The service is great and try a cannoli.
Nick's Tomato Pie is located in Jupiter, Florida on Indiantown Road. If coming from I-95 or the Florida Turnpike, head east until you see a sign with a large tomato on it.

But what is important for everyone reading this to know is that. We had the worst experience at this restaurant in Jupiter that we have had since we moved to Jupiter 5 years. There is nothing that compares to how terrible our service was from our waitress. Through out the entire meal we had to keep asking other passerby waitress's to help us with things we did not receive as asked. The waitress had such an attitude and unprofessional manner about her. We ordered a meal of spaghetti and also thought we would try the pizza, but she told us that there was no more pizza and that it was all frozen, yet the table beside us got pizza delivered to their table 20 minutes later after she told us no. Our drinking water never came. The entire night was a disaster and then to add fuel to fire, when we went to go leave and asked to speak to the manager, she came up in the middle of me speaking to the manager and started yelling at me until the manager told her to calm down and that that was eno
