The Indy feature film "Hemingway & Gellhorn" starring Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen is currently casting actors in Los Angeles and San Fransisco, as well as extras in San Fransisco to appear in the film beginning February 28, 2011. It took a 6 year effort by James Gandolfini to finally get the movie before cameras.

Academy Award nominee and San Francisco resident Philip Kaufman will direct the project, and will also co-produce under the banner of his Bay area production company Walrus & Associates. Primetime Emmy nominated Barbara Turner and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation scribe Jerry Stahl wrote the script that chronicles the romance between Ernest Hemingway and Martha Gellhorn.

Although shooting will take place in San Francisco and Orinda, CA due to director Philip Kaufman's production company and home being located in the Bay area, the story's events take place in Spain, Shanghai, Key West, and Havana. The film reportedly has a budget of $40 million.
