Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Welcome Baby Girl

Nicole Kidman and husband, country star Keith Urban has a new addition to the family. Nicole gave birth to a baby girl in Nashville, who they named Sunday rose. The blessed event was on Monday, July 7th. And both proud parents' could not be happier. They were married in June of 2006.

Keith Urban was with Nicole throughout the whole time. He announced it on his website and thanked the fans for the prayers during this time. Sunday Rose came in a whopping 6 pounds, 7 and ½ oz.

Nicole Kidman, whose movie roles include Far and Away, Days of Thunder, The Hours, Bewitched and more. She was married to actor Tom Cruise for 10 years before getting divorced in 2001. They have 2 adopted children, and she suffered a miscarriage in the relationship.

Both Kidman and Urban were raised in Australia. Because Nicole's parents were Australian citizens, living in Hawaii, Nicole has dual citizenship in both the U. S. and Australia. In 1983, she made her first film appearance in a music video, bop Girl. By the end of the year, she was in TV and movies, in Australia. In 1989, she was making American movies, breaking through with several highly acclaimed roles from 1998 to mid-1990. In 2006, she was made a Companion of The Order of Australia....Australia's highest honor for civilians. In 2007, Nicole was slated to be the new face for the advertising campaign for Nintendo for the Nintendo DS game: More Brain Training, for its European market.

Keith Urban was born in New Zealand, but later moved to Australia where he was raised. At the age of 6, he knew he wanted to sing. By age 8, Keith was winning young singing contests. In 1990, Keith signed with an Australian label EMI for his first solo album and got to number 4 on the Australian country scene.

In 1992, he moved to Nashville and was guitarist for several country stars at the time, before forming his own band, The Ranch. They only made 1 album before disbanding in 1998.

Drug Trouble

As with any young start up in the entertainment business, Keith Urban got caught up in the drug scene. After reaching a personal low in 1998, he was determined to win his battle with cocaine and checked into the Cumberland Heights rehab.

In October of 2006, he checked into the Betty Ford Center for alcohol, and in 2007, while en route to an AA meeting, skidded off the road on his motorbike trying to avoid the paparattzi who was following him.
