Night of Champions: 2011 Predictions

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton (Champion)

Henry has been on a path of destruction taking out The Big Show, Kane, and others along the way. Henry has even man handled Orton the past few weeks. Even though it seems like Henry is indestructible, he can be beaten. Sheamus proved that a few weeks ago when he defeated Henry by count out. Orton will have to do the same if he wants to hold onto the Championship. Orton will defeat Henry at Night of Champions. Orton should win by count out or disqualification that way Henry can keep playing the monster gimmick. Besides that Orton just won the Championship last month at SummerSlam. It does not make a lot of sense to have him lose the Championship this soon. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Randy Orton.

Winner: Randy Orton

NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH: CM Punk vs. Triple H

Stipulation: If CM Punk wins HHH must resign as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This Match was originally scheduled to be CM Punk verse Kevin Nash; However, HHH got the Board of Directors to allow him to replace Nash in this Match. Since that time HHH has fired Nash which could end up costing him this Match. Nash was only under contract for one week before being fired. Nash will most likely return at Night of Champions but who's side will he be on. Nash could help Punk win the Match, costing HHH his job just as HHH cost Nash his job. Nash could also help HHH win the Match, proving that HHH and Nash were working together all along. Punk has nothing to lose in this Match but if HHH loses he will have to step down as COO. HHH has only been COO for a few months, it would not make a lot of sense to make him resign now. It also does not make a lot of sense to have Punk lose to HHH. This is HHH's first time stepping into the ring since WrestleMania XXVII. Even though HHH only wrestlers once in a while he still has a great opportunity to win. Vince McMahon only wrestled once in a while and he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to HHH.

Winner: HHH

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio (Champion).

Del Rio just won the Championship last month at SummerSlam when he successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank Briefcase against CM Punk. It would not make since for Del Rio to lose the Championship this soon. It would diminish everything he has accomplished this year. This year alone Del Rio won the Royal Rumble and Raw's Money In The Bank Ladder Match. If he were to lose the Championship one month after winning it those victories would look less impressive. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Alberto Del Rio.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes (Champion)

DiBiase had been working with Rhodes since coming over to SmackDown in the 2011 Supplemental Draft. The duo was doing well until Rhodes turned on DiBiase by attacking him. DiBiase returned on the September 16 ^th episode of SmackDown to repay the favor to Rhodes. As a result these two will be facing each other at Night of Champions. DiBiase is a long shot to defeat Rhodes. Rhodes just won the Championship on August 12 ^th , 2011. Besides this is only the beginning of the feud between these two. DiBiase may pick up a victory by disqualification or count out but Rhodes will be the one walking away with the Championship. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Cody Rhodes.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

FATAL 4-WAY UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Alex Riley vs. John Morrison vs. Jack Swagger vs. Dolph Ziggler (Champion)

This is a tough Match to call. Ziggler and Swagger have been feuding over the services of Vickie Guerrero. Ziggler wants Guerrero all to himself while Swagger feels she should manage more clients. This has caused these two Superstars to lose Matches over the past few weeks. I thought the WWE would have them face each other one on one at Night of Champions but maybe neither one will be walking away with the Championship. Instead of having Ziggler and Swagger feud over the Championship the WWE may have them feud over Guerrero instead. Ziggler and Swagger may try to one up each other during the Match allowing Riley or Morrison to steal a victory. With Guerrero at ringside, she will not let that happen. Guerrero will decide if she wants to manage Ziggler or Swagger. It would be better for Guerrero to manage Swagger and turn on Ziggler. This would allow Ziggler to turn face and Swagger to become the new United States Champion. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Jack Swagger.

Winner: New United States Champion Jack Swagger

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: The Miz & R-Truth vs. Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne) (Champions)

Kingston and Bourne just won the Championships on August 22 ^nd , 2011 when they defeated David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. It would not make sense to have them lose the Championships a few weeks later. Besides The Miz and R-Truth did nothing to earn this Championship Match. They teamed up to take on a WWE conspiracy and challenged Air Boom to this Match on Raw. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Air Boom.

Winners: Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne)

DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly (Champion)

Kelly Kelly got lucky last month at SummerSlam when she defeated Phoenix with a roll up. This time around Kelly Kelly will not be so lucky. At SummerSlam Kelly Kelly was nearing the two month mark as Champion. That is about how long past Divas Champions have held the Championship for. Now that Kelly Kelly is approaching the three month mark and taking on Phoenix for a second time, it makes it more likely that she will lose. For those reasons I'm giving the victory to Beth Phoenix.

Winner: New Divas Champion Beth Phoenix

OTHER NOTES: The Internet Champion Zack Ryder does not have a Match at Night of Champions. Are you serious bro? Ryder is a Champion so he may kick off the show defending his Internet Championship against someone.
