Traveling at Night

V.S. Lee
I love traveling at night
our children quiet and sleeping
Almost no others in sight
Steady the speed we are keeping

The music plays softly. We sing
or quietly speak of our day
Holding hands is such a small thing
That we cannot do in the day

The road seems endless and right
We do not go far from our home
but long quiet moments are bright
As over the highway we roam.
