Night at the Museum: A Great Family Movie

Desalee Owens
This movie was a great family movie! Bring the kids to see this one. I can imagine if I was six or seven and I saw a whole museum come to life. It would be a dream come true, history making itself alive in a child's mind.

Robin William is one of my favorite actors and as usual his part in this one was very outstanding. He always plays a great comedy roll whether it is the genie on Aladdin or the dad on RV, or a president made of wax and plastic he always makes us laugh.

Ben Stiller plays a divorced father who needs to gain some stability just to be able to spend time with his young son. He gets a job at The Natural History museum in New York City as a night guard. He learns a lesson that to control the museum antics he needs to study and understand history to keep it together fully. His son wants to believe his father is gaining stability but he oversees something that makes him unsure so his dad brings him to see the museum come to life. Together they have to fight back the previous night guards and assure the museum safe from robbers and mischief.

Don't forget your checklist! 1) Throw the bone. 2) Lock up the lions or they'll eat you. 3) double check your belt the monkey probably stole your keys. 4) Tie the horses to the bench. 5) Go inside the temple of Ahkmenrah and muffle the mummy, he scares the others. 6) Close the dioramas and pull the latches over. 7) Open the jointing gallery to the African mammals. 8) Duck, be alert for rifle fire. 9) Beat the war drum. The union and conferderate soldiers will not battle if you get the beat right. 10) Earplugs are behind the crustation display case. Get them before the whale gets to its third chorus of the whale song - It will bust your eardrums. 11) distract the Neanderthal men once an hour. If they sharpen their spears they will hunt you. 12) Throw the bone again But not in the direction of the fossil exhibit.

From miniatures cowboys and Romans to crazy monkeys and lions, cave men to Columbus, Louis and Clark to Egyptian Pharaohs this movie comes alive with history literally. Family fun and comedy bring your whole family, wife, kids, grandma, grandpa, and uncle Earl! A must see movie for the history loving family.
