Night Rain, Alliterated

When I Awoke, Everything was Wet

David A. Reinstein, LCSW

Damp darkness
Lubricating lugubriously luscious leaves
Ingratiates itself
To tired tall trees;
Enveloping erudite evergreens,
Misting mountain moss.

In the hours of cyclic dark,
Droplets mist or cascade
And find their mark.

While weather weaves wet,
Air also acquires aerosoled
Weight without weariness.
Silently sprayed slick solution
Of oftentimes omnipresent
Droplets dispensed downward
By billowed but blinded
Crystal cold clouds.

While vision is obscured
By the mystery of night,
Wetness rinses the Earth;
Not requiring human sight.

Tomorrow's tempting touch
Awaits as attention awakens
Spiriting soft sleeping seasons
Until, unaware, unified under
Evening's ebony eyelids,
Morning makes misted music
That titillates tickled tempted tones;
Symphonic sprinkles sparkling
Forever finding foreshadowed feelings
Morning made magically moist.
Miracle-made melodic mist.

Touched, smelled or seen
The water left by night
Enhances shades of green.
