Up above, the reticent moon rests in the sky,
Stars accessorize it like diamonds do a face.
Together they're suspended in a black velvet case.
Down below, salty water whips up against a rocky front.
And just now, a distinctive cloud floats before the moon.
It masks the reflection upon the water of the perfect form.
Timely as it seems, lightning crawls across the sky.
A glint of wonder trails in my eyes.
I can sense that no one ever frequents this place
In the distance, I hear the wind as the trees begin to rustle--
Yet alone the wind is silent.
Tears well upon this beautiful sight,
And falling from above, they fill untold oceans.
Somewhere pain thunders deep within the pit of one's heart.
Shine moon, burn away this pain, you must force the tide to reign!
Again, the water roars; it alone can calm desires and vanish as it soars.
Here we are all alone--but humanity--they will never understand.
The embers of man continue to burn, and because smoke rises,
We must open our eyes and remove our disguises.
You see, we are the storm
The commotion we create as we run through the night
Can extinguish the flames of man; then--and only then--again we can play.
