When you think of nightlife, what revs your party engines? Do you think of dance clubs? Live music? Great food? Live comedy shows? If these appeal to you, then the Chippewa Strip in Buffalo, New York should be on your list of must-see destinations.

This small section of Buffalo, just a couple of blocks long, and not far from Buffalo's acclaimed theater district, boasts some of the best of partying and live entertainment to be had anywhere. You can hear live music ranging from Blues to Punk from local, regional, and national acts. The Goo Goo Dolls got their start there, as did Willie Nile. And acts like these continue to perform every weekend.

If a good laugh is more your speed, Witz End Comedy Club is what you need. See regional and national acts like The Sandman, Lisa Lampenelli, and Brian Regan perform every weekend. Shows cost less than $10, and admission is free on Thursdays. For more information go to http://www.witzendcomedyclub.com.

Great food ranging from Buffalo's famous chicken wings to reservations-only, fine sit-down dining can be eaten and enjoyed on this small city strip as well. And of course, there is plenty of wine, beer, and spirits for those whose evening-on-the-town requirements flow in this direction. And for those who eschew distilled beverages, but still like a charged up drink, gourmet coffee abounds on the Chippewa Strip. And remember, in Buffalo the bars don't close until 4am, so you can party till you can't take it anymore!
