Nightlife in Lake Charles Grows as the Day Fades

Angie Eros
In silence the city sleep during the day, families busy themselves with life and what they think Lake Charles, Louisiana is. In reality it is just a dream. The nightlife of this city is where the truth dares to exist and the founders of the town renew there commitment to being what the public must never see. They spend there nights doing as the common folk does getting drunk, driving recklessly, and sobering up at the local pit grill.

In Lake Charles, there are many place to go at night. The nightlife consist of bars, bars, and more bars. No matter who you are if you are a drinker there is a place for you. A place to hide away from you stresses and do as most people in this city does. Bury you sorrows in one to many, find someone to enjoy the time with, and move on. No fear, total freedom to exist on a level with no one judging your every move. Society fades here and the only reality is the one vodka gave you.

The nightlife in Lake Charles can take you life as these drunk wonder the roads in search of their next hangout or at least a bar that will let them continue to drink until closing time. One is not enough for the citizens of Lake Charles. They must consume until they fall down, get sick or loose more money than they earn in one day. On the road they continue there journey until the wee hours of the night. They have no concern for the other drivers but what they heck they are all drunk to. It like a game of bumper cars only no one knows who is going to take the first hit and if there is one it is tragic and most often fatal. They traverse to each destination swerving to miss the quadruple yellow lines.

At the end of the night, they reach their final destination at the Pitt Grill where they order the breakfast buffet and a coffee. The place is filled with the roars of it's drunken occupants and they line up on both sides of the buffet table half able to stand. They pile their plates full of the many choice of food. A food trail follows behind them as they stumble to their tables and sit only to find that most of the food the collected is gone. They eat until they can no longer fit food into their stomachs without losing it. Then they drive home, collapse on their beds, and pass out numb from the experiences they just had. The nightlife in Lake Charles is repetitive so they are as familiar with this routine. It is as it should be in their minds and not one can tell them any differently.

As the sane world lives on the silence of the day, so does the nightlife nursing their hangovers and plotting where to start there next escapade. In there minds life is lived until you been there and the pride they have for their freedom exudes from every pore of there being. The nightlife is the only life they choose to live. It consumes them so much that the day is merely a dream. One they must relive and explore to it's extremes.

If you are going to place something on the interweb, you should at least proof read. There are more spelling and grammatical errors than I could tell in a nutshell-it is hard to find a sentence without one.

Step down off your pedestal and have someone proof your work for you -apparently you need it. Chat board english doesn't help you garner any respect.

    Basic written English skills?

If you're going to be judgmental, I suggest editing (and re-editing) a submission like this.
