A much shorter drive than Las Vegas, while offering all the fun! There are a number of great restaurants. The on-going show "Show Stoppers" is very good. It features impersonators of singing stars, such as Madonna, Garth Brooks and Tina Turner. Casino Arizona also hosts concerts throughout the year, or you can relax at the piano bar. Adults of all ages enjoy the casino and all it has to offer.

For cool fun with the whole family, try the Alltel Ice Den, home of the Arizona Coyote Hockey team. There are classes for kids and adults to learn figure skating or hockey. There are public skating sessions every day, a great way to get in out of the heat! While you are there, have a good cup of coffee at the Chilly Bean Caf or some great pizza at Peter Piper Pizza, both of which are inside the complex. This place is very popular, particularly with kids, and can get pretty crowded. Even if you don't skate, bring your kids and watch them and the other skaters!
Farrelli's Cinema Supper Club
14202 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 114
Scottsdale, AZ 85254-4077
Farrelli's Cinema Supper Club puts a whole new spin on dinner and a movie! Sit at a table and eat dinner while you watch a current-run movie. You'll need to arrive at least 30 minutes before the show starts. The dcor is 1940s style, and the tables are on tiers so you get a good view. The service can be a little slow sometimes, but the food is greattry the calamari. The menu is a little pricey, but offers meals ranging from hamburgers to steaks. You aren't required to have dinner, so if you're just in the mood for snacks and drinks with your movie, that's quite all right. Farrelli's is generally patronized by adults aged 25 or so and older.
Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre
4720 N. Scottsdale Road
Scottsdale, AZ 85251
480-483-1664
Try Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre for a live theatre experience. Ticket packages include an optional dinner from one of the neighboring restaurants (all with great menu choices). This is a community theatre so don't expect Broadway-level performances, but they are quite good and the prices are really reasonable. They put on a number of shows every year that appeal to different tastes, so check the schedulethere are some family-friendly ones, as well as shows the kids probably won't enjoy (but you will).
With such a busy nightlife in Scottsdale, you're sure to find something that suits your style.
