Nikola Tesla Vs. Thomas Edison

Nikola Tesla: Probably one of the most influential man of our time that made the basis for modern day electronics. You may be wondering if this is true, why haven't I heard of him? The answer to this is very simple during his life time (10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943) he had a major technology strike with Thomas Edison. The reason they both had this strike against each other was mainly because Alternating current (AC) was designed by Nikola Tesla and Direct current (DC) was invented by Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison was frightfully afraid of (AC) only because he would lose profits if (AC) would be proven to work stronger and better than his (DC). Lets take a quick overview of what (AC) and (DC).

Alternating current (AC): An electric current that reverses direction at regular intervals, having a magnitude that varies continuously in sinusoidal manner."Dictionary.com. In simpler terms (AC) is a electric flow that goes in every different direction it can depending on where it can reach. Now if you want to get technical on the exact movement of the electric flow the voltage charge goes in the opposite flow of the magnetic force inside of the conductor wires or the electrical generator for longer distance technicalities.

Direct current (DC): Electricity. an electric current of constant direction, having a magnitude that does not vary or varies only slightly.Dictionary.com. The Direct current was formally known as Galvanic current named after its originally founder. Like before I will tell you in technical but also simple terms of how the DC works. There are two electrically receiving parts lets say for example positive and negative on batteries. The electricity has only these two parts that can conduct its movement.

Who is credit for what? Edison was the original the original inventor of many inventions we use today such as the phonograph, incandescent light bulb, cement making technology, and DC.Tesla also was the original inventor of many more things we still use to this day such as the radio, fluorescent light, AC motors and electric power generation systems. But still to this day there is a great debate amongst these two men. For those who support Tesla they would say Edison was a thief who took his ideas from his many workers in his factories then usually fired them afterward to prevent any ownership from the worker. Fans of Edison believe that Tesla was a swindler who gave his investors high expectations then never delivered what he promised. I myself am a supporter of Nikola Tesla.Who do you support?
