Nine Months and Counting
Happiness took me over
Nine months and counting
The journey begins
As days turned into weeks
Weeks into months
I start to feel the movement
Of the growing baby inside
Hearing your heartbeat
Always made me feel you were safe
Everyday a new joy has come
You little one sure will be loved
Preparing everything for your arrival
Each day waiting to meet my baby
Is more exciting then the last day
As your due date soon approaches
I am in the hospital now
Every hour bringing you closer
To my arms, to meet me
The woman who carried you for nine months
Now your here, what joy I feel
Tears in my eyes
From the happiness inside
You my baby are my everything.
