Ninja New York Good but Fails to Live Up to the Ninja Name

Two things are very popular right now and they are pirates and ninjas. If you live in New York or are planning to be in the Big Apple soon and you love ninjas then there is a great place for you. Ninja New York in New York City is a great dinning option for ninja fans.

Ninja New York is located at 25 Hudson Street in trendy Manhattan New York. While kids may love ninjas right now Ninja New York is not a great place for kids. Most of the food is expensive for kids and kids will not enjoy. Ninja New York is also a upscale nightclub type restaurant that is not right for kids.

Ninja New York is a fun place for big kids. You should come with the right expectations though. If you are expecting crazy western Ninjas then you will be disappointed. Instead Ninja New York is designed more in line with traditional Japanese architecture. Don't get me wrong this is anything but ordinary using tricks of illusion and deception in the design of Ninja New York but it is fairly low key. Like a ninja the interesting elements are not about being seen but being hard to see.

The look is more feudal Japan then Bruce Lee movie. You do have some elements such as a bridge to cross and a cave that are theatric but the rest of the decor is subdued. The food is traditional Japanese fare such as sushi. The food is expensive but good. The food though may not be worth the price so you are definitely paying for the atmosphere.

Ninja New York is a cool idea and a cool place. My concern is that people will be expecting more over the top movie ninja then classical ninja. The Ninja part of the restaurant hardly comes into play besides the waiters garb. This could just be a fancy Japanese restaurant if it dropped the Ninja name and clothes. If you like Japanese and want a slightly different experience then it is a good option but it may not live up to the hype.

As a nice Japanese restaurant then Ninja New York is good. However the hype of Ninja New York does not match up to a real ninja.
