Nintendo DS Lite Game Review: Brain Age 2

Brain Age 2, More Brain Training, has the same idea as the original, of course, striving to give you some brain stimulating mental exercises every day. So, instead of sitting around consuming all the Christmas leftovers, why not put you brain to work while having a little fun?

All the glitches from the original have been fixed and More Brain Training is definitely more polished than the first edition. The graphics are still pretty basic, but the clarity is exceptional.

While the main menu is the same, there are plenty of new brain exercises to try and unlock. There is Word Blend, in which you try to recognize two or three spoken words played at the same time. Then in Memorize 5x5 you have to remember the positions of as many grid numbers as possible. And then there's my personal favorite, Masterpiece Recital. In this brain teaser, you match up keyboard and stave notes.

The difficulty levels are balanced and the new games and exercises make all the difference. More Brain Training is definitely "so much more". And with the possibility to use the multi-player mode, you can enjoy sharing your game with friends. With just your single cartridge there are now four games to share. This version also includes a new picture interpretation game that is sure to be a big hit at any party where there are multiple DS consoles.

I highly recommend this game. It defiantly lives up to it's reputation when it boasts that it's "recommended for anyone, from 8 to 80."
