Nintendo DS Lite Game Review - Marvel Trading Card Game

One of the best Nintendo DS Light games out right now is the Marvel Trading Card Game. Why? Because this takes the real-life Marvel Trading Card game and allows you to create your own virtual decks and then compete with players around you using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. The Nintendo DS Lite game starts off with a tutorial given to you by Professor X of the X-Men teaching you how to use the cards to battle and defeat your foes. The card art is exactly the same as the one on the actual cards, making it easy to move from the real card game to the Nintendo DS Lite game and back again and you get an exclusive card when you purchase the game.

The storyline for the Nintendo DS Light game uses graphics that will remind you of a comic book - panels shifting back and forth across the two screens with familiar figures such as Daredevil and Spiderman springing into action. Along the way you can purchase new cards with bonus points you get from solving puzzles and defeating villains. Along the way you can customize your deck and personalize your game style just the same as you would using the real cards.

The Nintendo DS Light game version is great for those looking to learn the rules of the Marvel Trading Card Game or for those looking to try out new combinations and staying in practice between games. Using famous comic figures like Wolverine, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom this Nintendo DS Lite game is a sure bet for anyone in your family who enjoys both comic books and trading card games. The only caveat I would give is that the learning cycle is high and younger players may grow impatient at trying to learn the basics without human assistance - which is also true of the actual trading card game. But for those who already know the rules this Nintendo DS Lite game is a great conversion from the actual trading card game to the virtual world without the muss and fuss of carrying, sorting and storing literally hundreds of cards.

The Marvel Trading Card Game is an excellent addition to the Nintendo DS Light game system and one that can keep the player occupied for hours as he/she creates new decks, battles enemies and can even compete against other Nintendo DS Light game owners. Why not consider this game the next time you visit your local game store?
