Nintendo Wii Review

For my husband's 25th birthday, I decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii. He loves video games and this system seemed so different than the other games on the market. Compared to the Playstation 3, the price was well worth the investment. With the Nintendo Wii, gamers are able to actually interact with the system. Rather than just sitting on the couch with a remote in hand, you actually have to be physical to make the game work correctly. For instance, the harder you swing your arm to bowl, the faster the ball will go down the bowling lane.

After calling a numerous amount of stores within 100 miles of our home to see if the Nintendo Wii was in stock, I finally found one at Target in another city. A quick trip to the store and $250 later, his gift was purchased.

The Nintendo Wii is $249 and comes with the system, one controller, one numchuck and the Wii sports game. The Wii sports game has 5 types of games on the disc-baseball, tennis, boxing, bowling and golf.

There are a vareity of games available for the Nintendo Wii. From sports games to action games and fighting, there is sure to be a game for every age, interest and skill level. We purchased another baseball game for the Nintendo Wii at $49.99 and it has been alot of fun.

Gamers can purchase additonal items for the Nintendo Wii. The system will accomodate up to four players at one time and the extra controllers are $40. You can purchase additional numchucks for $20. Memory cards are available, but memory cards from the Nintendo Gamecube will also work on the Nintendo Wii system. It seems that the Nintendo Gamecube controllers will also work with the Nintendo Wii system, just not as interactively.

I highly recommend the Nintendo Wii for game enthusiasts of all ages. Our two year old son loves it and so does my 25 year old husband!
