This week, Super Thunder Blade, World Class Baseball, and Yoshi's Story arrive on the Virtual Console. Here is a brief rundown on the titles of yesteryear.

Super Thunder Blade
Developer: Sega
Publisher: Sega
Original System: Sega Genesis
Original Release Date: 1988
Genre: Vertical Shooter
Controller Options: Classic, Gamecube and Wii Remote
Wii Points: 800
ESRB Rating: E
Super Thunder Blade is yet another shooting game for the Virtual Console. Although the game isn't too bad, it also doesn't separate itself from the rest of the shooters. Not recommended unless you really like these kind of games.

World Class Baseball
Developer: Hudson
Publisher: Hudson
Original System: TurboGrafx16
Original Release Date: 1989
Genre: Sport
Controller Options: Classic, Gamecube and Wii Remote
Wii Points: 600
ESRB Rating: E
World Class Baseball is certainly not a bad game. But with all other sports game at that time, it was limited in gameplay. If you want a classic baseball game, you just have to hope for the Ken Griffey Jr.'s videogames to come out for the Virtual Console.

Yoshi's Story
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Original System: Nintendo 64
Original Release Date: 1998
Genre: Platformer
Controller Options: Classic and Gamecube
Wii Points: 1000
ESRB Rating: E
When Yoshi's Story came out almost ten years ago, it was a disappointment especially when compared to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The game is nowhere near as complex or fun as its predecessor. Although it wasn't bad, the Virtual Console have better games to offer; don't waste your money because Yoshi is plastered all over it. Avoid Yoshi's Story, especially with the hefty cost of 1000 Wii Points.
