Nintendo has released news that would greatly disappoint anyone that wants the Wii. The price is not less than $200 now, but is now $250. But this supposed treasure box of all the Nintendo games in history turns out to be nothing more than a mediocre 48 games that would now cost $5-$10 each. Why? Why would they do this to everyone. You can go on ebay and buy 200 nes games for like $100 and they want to charge $5 each.
What is also irritating is the free online subscription marketing scam. I knew that it was just a gimmick to get people's hopes up. Tell me nintendo, if you get a free online subscription to nothing, does it still count? Or do they justify being able to send emails, read the news or talk to people as something special? I pay for DSL and I have 5 computers set up in my house already. I can check email in every room. Every heard of Web TV, yes it sucks, why are they reinventing it.
Are they forgetting something that is so obvious, yet no one has even talked about it. Why don't they have the backlog of gameboy games. That's 1000 games right there that could add to the hype of the system. How about releasing the SDK kits for the backlog games so people could make levels and even make games muliplayer. There are some really creative people in this world. One example is a group of people that made Half-Life a mmofps. What if they made Zelda a mmorpg? Who could resist that? No one.
The only thing they seem to be doing right is using Zelda to pave the wave for the new system, as well as a new mario game and Metroid III. They also have another Super Smash Brothers game ready to come out at launch or soon thereafter. Thank you is all I have to say. I'm also looking forward to more video games and less real life simulations. Give me Mario and Sonic, not some gangster or war hero. Games are supposed to be an escape, not a reminder of how much life sucks.

Post a CommentEven at the price $250, the Wii is still affordable and for the back catalog of classic Nintendo games, that can be bought as well though I still wish for the Game Boy Player for this because it can play all legacy Game Boy games. I'm glad that this system is still backward compatible with all GameCube titles already released. I know downloading and paying for those classic games are a big rip-off and I known that not all games fromt he past will return but at least that's the only way to play them for these new generation system.
