Wii Sports is an amazing game that comes standard with the Nintendo Wii consul. Many times when a game comes with a system it's believed that the game is only to be treated as a demo, or trial game to give the player an idea about what to expect from their new system and Wii Sports does that, but so much more. The game contains five sport oriented games, each using the Nintendo Wii's most noticeable feature, the Wii Remote, to it's greatest extent. All the games move fluently and are easy to play for children and adults of all ages.

Wii Sports contain five major sports games including Baseball, Tennis, Bowling, Boxing and Golf. All the games featured are compatible and are used with the Wii's Mii channel, actually putting your created characters into the sports arena. For instance in Baseball if you have nine Mii's created all nine will play the field for your team when you're pitching, and they will also bat in that order. You're partner in Tennis may also be one of the many Mii's you have created.

Each game is unique in it's own way and will appeal to a variety of players. Tennis incorporates a mixture of speed and agility on the players part, while Baseball requires strength and timing, and bowling needs balance concentration and thought. All the games play almost like the real sports that they imitate.

Bowling requires the player to put their arm back and then fluently bring it up just like you were throwing a real bowling ball, and the way you move your wrist will determine if the ball has a curve on it or not, and you can even determine how much curve the ball has by how much you twist your wrist. Tennis will also have a lot to do with your movements as far as determining whether or not your using a backhand or forehand strike.

Wii Sports will also calculate speed accurately when playing games such as golf and Baseball. The amount o force you put into your golf swing will determine how far the ball goes. If you swing too slow the ball will just barley move, too hard and it will hook or slice depending on how and where you hit the ball. Baseball is the same in this respect, if you barley swing the bat the ball might not even leave the infield, but if you manage to connect with enough speed you might get an out of the park homerun!

There are a few other aspects to the Wii Sports game like the sub games for training and the Wii fitness test. The training games will be variations of the five sports games featured in Wii Sports. Homerun Derby for Base ball along with others, as well as an aiming game for Tennis, placement for bowling, and targets to drop the ball in with golf. The Wii fitness test will put your Mii through three training games in order to determine your Wii Fitness age, 80 being the worst, and 20 being the best. Both alternate game types will keep high scores and records for each individual Mii character.

Overall the Wii Sports game is a great addition to the Wii's lineup of games, it may actually be one of the best. Everyone will enjoy this simple game and the graphics and sound are not all too bad. You'll be sure to enjoy Wii Sports by yourself or with family and friends.
