Nip/Tuck Returns to FX on January 6th

Nip/Tuck finally returns on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10 p.m. This show airs on FX Television Network and it is the next best thing to HBO and Showtime. For a basic cable show, it really should be rated "R" for its explicit sexual scenes, language, graphic detail, bold story lines, outlandish characters, and more.

In Season 5, Sean and Christian left Miami for Los Angeles, where they planned on a fresh start for McNamara/Troy. Thinking that celebrity status would lure more patients, they became medical consultants for a television drama. Thus, Sean experienced early success in Hollywood, while Christian found himself, for the first time, living in Sean's shadow. Furthermore, a medical crisis was revealed, womanizing Christian finally decided to settle down with one woman, and Sean discovered a new love.

Dylan Walsh plays "Dr. Sean McNamara," who is a brilliant and dedicated plastic surgeon and partner at McNamara/Troy. Julian McMahon plays "Dr. Christian Troy," who the business partner, best friend, and confidante of Dr. McNamara. Joey Richardson plays "Julia McNamara," who is ex-wife to Sean and mother to Matt, whose biological father turns out to be Dr. Christian Troy. It was later revealed that Julia and Christian had a one-night stand in college before she married Sean. This secret did not come out until 20 years later. During this time, Sean and Christian were on out the outs.

John Hensley plays "Matt McNamara," the biological son of Christian and Julia. Since he was raised by Sean, he considers both Christian and Sean to be his fathers. Previously, Matt found solace and comfort in Scientology and Kimber, who he married after learning that she was pregnant. Feeling insecure about his manhood, since Kimber was sexually high strung, problems began to arise. In Season 5, Matt traveled to Los Angeles seeking financial help from endless lies. Apparently, he and Kimber had become addicted to drugs and now they were also broke with a new baby to feed.

Kelly Carlson plays former model and porn queen, "Kimber Henry." She is currently married to Matt and is also a former girlfriend of Christian and Sean. While she was engaged to Christian, the Carver kidnapped and mutilated her so bad; Christian had to perform emergency plastic surgery on her face and body. Since Christian was her one, true love, Kimber always had a soft spot in her heart for him. When Christian turned her away, she sought revenge by marrying his son, Matt.

Roma Maffia plays "Dr. Liz Cruz", the outspoken lesbian anesthesiologist at McNamara/Troy. She often challenges the views held by Sean and Christian. Previously, Liz was the victim of an underground ring of organ thieves who stole one of her kidneys. Undergoing transplant surgery, she was given a new lease on life when a generous Dawn Budge, played by Rosie O'Donnell, donated one of her kidneys. She also fell in love with another anesthesiologist, Poppy, played by Alanis Morrissette. She also quickly fell out of love when she realized that her new partner was a controlling and unstable woman. In Season 5, Liz followed the docs to Los Angeles, where she joined the new Beverly Hills practice.www.fxnetworks.com
