After a less than eventful fifth season, what could be in store for season six? Another killer like the Carver? The loss and return of old characters like the McNamara clan? It's hard to say.
It's also hard to say whether or not viewers will be awaiting season six as fanatically as they did for season five. The events that unfolded during this season were less than stellar, in comparison to seasons passed.
While Kimber (Kelly Carlson) and Matt's (John Hensley) stint with meth, or Eden's (AnnaLynne McCord) attempt at Julia's (Joely Richardson) death (which will be the highlight of the season finale) were slightly interesting, they left me starving for the next week's episode like I had felt in previous seasons.
Will McNamara and Troy end up back in Miami? Doubtful.
It does seem to be the case that Christian (Julian McMahon) has returned to his old ways after a short stint at trying to be the nice guy. At the same time, it seems that Sean (Dylan Walsh) has moved on to the dark side, and won't be making a return trip any time soon. The next season will probably feature Sean continuing to be corrupted by Hollywood, until a shining revelation occurs, where he realizes the error of his ways.
It also seems, that if they don't kill off Julia in the season finale, that the shows producer is setting her up to try and patch things up with Sean.
Will he take her back? Probably not until she's tried to make it work one more time with Olivia (Portia de Rossi).
In season six viewers will probably also see a return of the recently absent Annie McNamara (Kelsey Batelaan). And what about little Connor McNamara, the McNamara's youngest? It's hard to say.
And what will develop in the inscestual relationship that has developed between Matt and his half sister? I think there's more than meets the eye to this young woman. Chances are good that a couple things will happen, aside from the fact that the "truth" will be drug out over several episodes. The most likely event will be that she'll turn out not to be his sister. Another possibility is that the emergency termination won't work and she will end up being pregnant with Matt's child. Either way, a confrontation between her and Kimber is more than likely.
It's really difficult to say where the next season will go. One thing's for certain, with the writer's strike officially coming to an end, hopefully the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, has more tricks up his sleeve to resuscitate the once lively Nip/Tuck.

Post a CommentI've only seen this show a couple of times but I can see where it would be addictive. Good topic you chose.
Yeah I agree, they have DRUG OUT the Sean and Julia thing...way unrealistically. Like I said, I think they are going to try and reunite them, but it's becoming very apparent that viewers don't like Julia's character very much. The amnesia thing is way soap opera-ish. meh. I have faith that in the next season there will be some better stuff going on. I bet the writer's strike kind of screwed this season up. I'd hate to see this show go down the drains after doing so well for so long. Hopefully if it is getting old for the writer he will end it gracefully instead of dragging it out painfully.
man i looooove this show and i cant wait for the next season. but just to put it out there, im so ver the sean and julia relationship. god they just need to keep them separated, thats all!
What I don't understand is how these people keep getting away with all these murders. It's so unrealistic. Don't get my wrong, I LOVE the show!
